@Swaldy @geforcenow_pgg 100 down FTTB NBN. I had to override the settings to set the bitrate to max and force the resolution to 1920x1200 and now it looks decent. I also get 3-5ms ping to their servers which helps I guess lol.

  • LostPlayhouse Laurie Johnson (@LostPlayhouse) reported

Backing up photos and videos from my kids' iCloud account, which hasn't been backed up for over five years. Ten hours in, and only about 60% done so far. Reached 50% in about three hours, but then the NBN demon struck and it's been slow going ever since.

  • AusIndiMedia Michael Taylor (@AusIndiMedia) reported

@igraju62 In Canberra we had Rudd’s broadband. We had to put on a helmet and seatbelt with the speeds we were getting. In rural Vic, for $40 a month more that what we were paying in Canberra we get speeds as useless as ADSL2 for Turnbull’s crap NBN.

@maxdnharris @sneaktreat @NBN_Australia I work in the industry so am very familiar. Think you are mistaken as NBN is 100% Fed govt owned & capex is Commonwealth funded. Not sure what "co-payment" you refer to. Payment of disconnection charges or the $10B Telstra deal for legacy assets? Neither funds network build

  • djbingbing_ djbingbing (@djbingbing_) reported

@Optus How hard is it for customer service reps to remove a service from an account? 3rd month iv been charged for something that was meant to be resolved last month. First i was told Optus Sports was free with NBN then i get told its free with mobile. Unacceptable behaviour.

  • Aussie_BB Aussie Broadband (@Aussie_BB) reported

@bobharr41510369 Hey Martin - unfortunately, we do try and let you know when a planned outage is occurring as soon as possible - sometimes it is the NBN, though. Cheers, Lizzie

  • yaakov_h Yaakov - יעקב (@yaakov_h) reported

It seems like the only thing that will ever get me my old RuneScape account back is lodging a support ticket from the IP address I had from Optus back in high school, which I don’t even remember but is definitely not a block I’ve seen available to NBN connections 🤔

  • justincroser JC ◺ ◿ (@justincroser) reported

@AusIndiMedia The government as per usual skimped out and did the FTTB network instead of the true NBN which kept the old copper and personally I think it’s slower than my old ADSL2+ connection

  • econ_hill 💉DulwichHillEcon 💉 (@econ_hill) reported

@maxdnharris The Govt or public sector has very little expertise or past record in such a complex sector of construction so would need to set up an SOE. This was the Rudd model with @NBN_Australia and has been a total disaster - fibre network at 3x cost of NZ, despite higher Aus pop density

  • ELCA_Brett Brett Flower (@ELCA_Brett) reported

In 2009, @AustralianLabor announced a @NBN_Australia network. 4 years later, the #LNPCorruptionParty took over the installation. 8 years of #LNPfailure means even though I live in @ScottMorrisonMP own electorate of Cook, we still do not have a reliable internet connection. FFS🤬
