Jamie Skella (@JamieSkella) reported from Adelaide, South Australia2/2 We are already preventing brand new business ideas from taking root here - they’re made unviable due to the embarrassing state of our “built and fully operational” NBN network. Now, we’re at risk of driving old businesses out as well. #auspol
-
Victoria Evans (@TickHarris) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@NBN_Australia Thanks Rose. I’ve been speaking/ emailing your team this week but whatever I say or do I can’t convince NBN that they have an incorrect address. So DMing my details is unlikely to help. It’s extremely frustrating. Thanks

Sir Dave 'Cruedevil' (@Cruedevil) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@JackJaeger7 @Optus Maybe get ya cable in the roof replaced. Some houses have old copper caballing that is crappy for NBN. As soon as I replaced mine with Cat6 not a problem. Cost about $250 installed from Mr Telco!

Treble Sketch 🔜 FurDU '23丨@TrebleSketch@ibite.lol (@ILM126) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@Aussie_BB Awesome, thanks for the update! Curious, this would have still been a problem if my NBN connection would have been FTTP (instead of FTTC) or it didn't really matter in the end?
-
Dr Fidelma McCorry (@DivaDiaspora) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@VodafoneAU seriously if I can’t through or someone doesn’t call me I am going to lose it. I’ve been trying for 3 months to cancel home wifi. You’re still charging when I have nbn. Now threatening me with cut off when I’ve been paying my bills minus the wifi plan!! 😡 Come on!!
-
Nick Gregor (@gregors510) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@Internode The cable is only a year old. However in the time it took to send that tweet, the red light on the modem came on, so I reset it and were away. Odd that I’ve had issues two days in a row. Could it be related to the NBN construction going on.
-
Jeffrey Kennedy (@kennoJT) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@PaulFletcherMP You are full of Bullshit. A second rate NBN that is slower than the ADSL2 I used to have. If streaming on TV can't use the laptop. You fool. Don't you dare try and compare, your intentions were never to deliver. Massive cost overruns too #NBNfailLNP #auspoI
-
Matthew (@mattjh1992) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@TurnbullMalcolm You sold us a shit sandwich NBN, under the technical prowess of PM Abbott. Least you could do is own it. Coming to you from a 4G home modem, because the copper is shit.
-
Lady Pooh (@LadyPoop2) reported from Adelaide, South Australia@MeckeringBoy @abcnews Turnball had a lot to do with Crap NBN, as well. He has connections with Coppermine😑Don't rule this greedy Bastard Out😝
NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Mark Sareff (@MarkSareff) reported@Telstra 1 Calvert Avenue Killara. Shows nbn out. Trouble is I have low mobile data allowance and depend on wifi
-
Duchess of Exeter 🌏 (@WhosFibbing) reportedThe three telcos and government-owned NBN Co were left reeling when the regulator rang to notify them of its final pricing decision – a token $20m reduction to renew spectrum licences essential for carrying mobile signals. ACMA’s decision will result in the sector collectively paying peak market rates of $7.32bn to roll over their existing spectrum holdings as licences begin expiring from 2028. Much of that cost will find its way on to customer bills. More inflation incoming!
-
Bill (Blagoyce - Pronounced "Blagoyche") Anakiev (@BILLTHEDJ) reportedThank you to the NBN/Optus for restoring my internet connection at full speed. For the past 2 months it was working at woeful speeds. I was initially told it was a problem at my end 3 times but it seems the complaining from my end caused action for them to investigate and fix.
-
Bulldogs57 (@Bulldogs5711) reported@MarkoMatvikov There is no doubt Libs are to blame for our debt Federally Left Oz with a $1.2 T debt Blowout in NBN Blowout in inland rail Blowout in Snowy Blowout in robo debt AUSKUS Blowout in NDIS Closing of refineries & CPS. Clear evidence of what ALP has to do to fix the Lib mess
-
M (@imboudee) reported@Justme136160 @robb_j_m To be fair, David is not wrong. Telcos will use the NBN infrastructure as they see fit. It’s cheaper to pay to use the NBN infrastructure that is already there than to lay down their own fibre. In fact, telcos like Optus and Telstra are already NBN providers.
-
ADAMan 🧫🧠 (@hoskyidiots) reported@craigkellyAFEE @Sauronlordking Free internet would be cheaper than FTA TV FTA TV (FY2025-26) Total estimated annual government expenditure/support on all FTA TV A$1.64 billion NBN Financial year 2025, ended 30 June 2025), NBN Co’s total operating expenses were approximately A$1.6 billion.
-
AaronTheDiver (@whereisaaron) reported@cuffs1971 @robb_j_m @NBN_Australia Eh? You're saying, that because Australia has economies of scale, that fibre is more expensive?!? That's upside-down world! NBN has *way* more customers to spread the infra costs over. If anything, fibre should be cheaper in Australia than NZ, surely?
-
Harold ☢️🔥🏭⚛️ (@Harold36089778) reported@MarkoMatvikov Even worse: Labor writes new laws to force super to invest in “building back Aus” like Melb-Syd high speed rail or upgrading NBN. When competition policy allowing global carriers to compete on the Melb-Sydney flight would drive costs down & Starlink is outcompeting NBN today.
-
Kojrey (@kojrey_codes) reportedThis is the argument for the #NBN few predicted: 1) Spend lots of money to build a national broadband network. 2) Spend even more money to make it Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) by default. 3) Private competitor pops up and offers comparable service, in more geographies, with zero Australian govt money. ....But where some are now (4a) Private competitor drives out public investment (4b) Private competitor CEO becomes hyper-partisan & divisive AND THEN (4c) They decide to use almost-monopoly power to hold citizens hostage with price increases. Kevin07 may have saved us, even if he didn't know it at the time.
-
RocK_M (@RocKM16827690) reported@grave0x @robb_j_m AFAIK There is no "free roll out" of FTTP. If you are on an FTTN network the homeowner has the "choice" to fork out money for the property to be upgraded to FTTP. If you are on the Coax/HFC network you are **** out of luck as the best NBN can do is try increase line bandwidth
