@Aussie_BB @NBN_Australia Done and the faults been fixed since. Hopefully for good? Because last time there was a ‘it came good and sorted itself’ as an explanation and that’s never a fix.

Last night my internet provider said they’d raise a service request with NBN and a tech would attend within 24 hours. They just said they need to do another test w me tonight before they can raise the request. So it’ll be another night w no internet and no way to deliver prizes!

On the phone to AussieBB, wow since yesterday’s outage I had 25 dropped connections. I’d like to say ‘damn HFC’ but apparently not necessarily. Anyway it’s time for the NBN man in the van to do his thing.

@Optus you’ve done it again. #Floptus I’ve tried to assist setting up my mums home phone for a month now. You cancelled her nbn setup visit and still haven’t contacted her after a week and now send her another nbn box. You guys are the worst for customer service. @acccgovau

@stevol321 @InsidersABC @David_Speers NBN and NDIS were ALP ideas, too. When has that stopped the LNP from stuffing things up? Try to tell your provider you're not going to w-f-d. RC told them what was needed, but did they fix the problems? LNP have been in for 7 years, complain about ALP when they're in.

@VodafoneAU seriously if I can’t through or someone doesn’t call me I am going to lose it. I’ve been trying for 3 months to cancel home wifi. You’re still charging when I have nbn. Now threatening me with cut off when I’ve been paying my bills minus the wifi plan!! 😡 Come on!!

@GamersNexus @HardwareUnboxed Though I've got mine on a special early-bird deal, pay 30AUD for like 55GB per month. Though am using the Optus network so it's usually congested during the day and only get 50/20Mbps with my S10+ in the middle of the night xD Which is the same speed as my NBN :P

@ScottMurphyAUS Urgh! I was a long term internode customer until they couldn't/wouldn't offer the same service I had in the move from ADSL -> NBN. So I went with Aussie. Haven't looked back, internode. went downhill when iiNet bought them When TPG bought the lot out it all went to 💩

@RickTheWarden @me_dc NBN technician came yesterday to fix outage fault, changed some hardware inside & outside... was working fine until now. It seems like it’s tripped the front room where the NBN/modem is inside - safety switch won’t stay on. Still try what you’ve suggested?

@NBN_Australia Thanks Rose. I’ve been speaking/ emailing your team this week but whatever I say or do I can’t convince NBN that they have an incorrect address. So DMing my details is unlikely to help. It’s extremely frustrating. Thanks

2/2 We are already preventing brand new business ideas from taking root here - they’re made unviable due to the embarrassing state of our “built and fully operational” NBN network. Now, we’re at risk of driving old businesses out as well. #auspol

@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Craig, ring the Telecommunication Ombudsman, make a complaint. Process is the ob contacts the party required, that party then has 48 hrs to contact you and generally 5 days to rectify the situation. The party is monitored by the ob, and if they fail, they are fined. Just an idea.

@Richard33878882 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Can NBN really be called a wholesaler if they are the ones who go out to the customer and fix the issue? It's not like the service provider can step in and fix it for the customer themselves.
-
Smokey Baker
(@Smokey_Baker) reported
@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia NBN is the wholesaler. Your provider needs to act accordingly and if they can't organise a new NTD or NTU in good time then submit a complaint to TIO or change providers. 6 weeks is definitely abnormal. DM me if you like, happy to sort you out.

@craigreucassel Telstra or NBN....nothing happens until you involve the TIO (ombudsmen) in relations to customer service, I have seen glaciers melt faster than either of these "corporations" provide adequate service

@jamiemanson101 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia I had the same, I received one, presumably an upgrade. Never asked for one, nor was told about it, I had to call to make sure there wasn't a mistake. Somehow, we managed to install it ourselves ;-), without the NBN worker's expertise.

@craigreucassel I have 2x FTTP NBN Connections (home and work) and can’t complain about the service. I recently had persistent drop-outs out on one NBN line (after 5 years of no issues) and while it took 2x visits to fix it (fault down the street) service organised via TPG was prompt.

@kiwiinvader @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia The NBN box is an NBN box! It is a part of THEIR network - and with FTTC it powers their modem in the pit.

@Richard33878882 @craigreucassel @NBN_Australia It’ll be the NBN network termination device (NTD) that has failed, not his modem/router. There are a variety of these are used on FTTP, FTTC, HFC and fixed wireless installs. NBNCo operates these units inside your property, and only they can service/replace them.

Richard Hubbard
(@Richard33878882) reported
@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Hi Craig, NBN are a wholesaler. Is it the modem/router inside that's failed? If so, your provider (Telstra etc) should replace it. Had similar issues, rang provider and 2 days later a new modem arrived in the mail.
