msau (@msignau) reported@robb_j_m This of course ended up driving the total cost of the NBN through the roof as they had to take on copper lines that had not been maintained properly for over a decade & assemble a franken-network copper, fibre & HFC networks that had massive maintenance costs.

Telstra / NBN sent 15 techies to fix our Internet problem & many phone calls all while our kids doing Uni exams & 1 wtg for cardiac surgery. Stress ++ Good luck Alan coz you’ll need it 🙏

It’s cheaper to pay to use the NBN infrastructure that is already there than to lay down their own fibre. In fact, telcos like Optus and Telstra are already NBN providers.
