@nbn box is on the blink since a thunderstorm on 28th. Been through diagnostics twice with Telstra. Lady just asked me to test my modem by hooking up my laptop to it. My laptop doesn’t have an ethernet port so she said to go ask a friend or a neighbour for a laptop. WTF @Telstra?

@Telstra currently no 4g connection and my nbn is a blazing 130kbps, current outage at 4205?

@Bob2u Sadly your internet is a two piece service, NBN wholesales the pipe to the carriers like Telstra, Optus etc. It was an idea to reduce carrier monopoly of the network as was the case with copper. Does not augur for a good user experience.

@AnthonyDrmic It all really depends on the person even though it says nbn all providers do nbn but the actual provider is the one who’s meant to help with the issues and meant to have nbn workers contracted to fix problems like this

@DaveMilbo most updates seem to be auto applied on my series x by the time I get on there? Not sure, sorry. Will say a very first world, frustrating problem is that despite having 1000/50 NBN, Xbox downloads seem to cap out at around 50 mbit while PS5 easily saturates my connection.

Sorry, I had to stop the livestream - the @Telstra @NBN_Australia connection is too rough. It switches between LTE and DSL every few minutes, some kind of management server handshake issues - hopefully will be fixed later this week. xxxx #livestream

@NBN_Australia We have reached out Multiple times to @Telstra and have been rebuffed a few times. I'm looking forward to moving so I can find a better internet provider. I have had no issues with your NBN customer service by the by. Only Telstra :")

Welcome 2021! Unfortunately @NBN_Australia outages in 5038 continuing from 2020. Two cancelled tech visits, no updates to our ISP, outage page useless. Time to look to 4G or fixed wireless... NBN HFC not fit for purpose.

@AnthonyDrmic Like I had issues before and I have nbn but I’m through telstra so Telstra said the only thing they can do is send a worker who deals with nbn out to check what sort of problems it could be

@NBN_Australia Doesn’t really offer a lot of information just that there is an outage. An ETA would be helpful
