  @ianclarkeAU @CovfefeDnUnder The NBN cannot do it now, but the optic fibres it uses can. Only the gear at either end changes. There is not a wireless system in existence that could carry the existing load of the NBN, let alone future needs. Talk to a network engineer, please.

  @gav_mck I ran into that with my uncle in Maleny. The crowding for Starlink meant no space. He has it now (waited in que like every1) but its why NBN are pushing their service to market asap with Amazon leo. At least you have options!!

  @DrewPavlou Australia's internet is **** because Tony Abbott deliberately sabotaged the NBN by making it fibre to the node. Rupert Murdoch was worried that streaming services would eat into his pay TV profits, so he had all his news orgs back Abbott. They even announced it at Fox Studios.

  My parents love NBN News, my sister and I love the rewind segment at the end of the Sunday bulletin. Moving NBN news to a half hour before the Sydney bulletin is a god damn joke.

  Speed is latency. No satellite connection is "high speed" sick of the disinformation. Starlink is 20ms-40ms+ latency like mobile garbage is. NBN is a whopping 600ms latency. They need to keep this junk away from fibre areas where I get 2ms latency and have had since 2022.

  @VoteLewko @2GB873 Starlink is great if you're mobile, but you never want to use it to replace the nbn residential connections. The speeds and latency you get from a fttn/fttp connection are leagues better.

  @NBN_Australia any update on service outage in Seven Hills/Norman Park in Brisbane, QLD? Your website is lagging and blaming a power outage for the issue. @Energex did their job, we had power back on within 4.5-5 hours, that was yesterday 16/06/26 Still waiting 27+ hours later…

  @NationalFarmers @NBN_Australia @AlboMP Guess how much we spent on the ten base stations on the ground? An eye watering amount that is symptomatic of the grift that went into the building of the network. We *should* have an inquiry. We probably won't bother though.

  $58.10 is Aussie Broadband's "special 6 months price". For 25mbps down, 10mbps up... Meanwhile Amaysim's offer is $30 a month for 6 months. It's so retarded. The NBN/gov should be ashamed of themselves. Cost of access is way too high and it's causing ridiculous market behaviour.

  @RennickGBR My issue with point 3 is that for the last 2 decades, there hasn’t been one federal project that was delivered on time and on budget, every single infrastructure built blew the budget completely. So it’s just more spending. Snowy hydro, NBN, inland rail, hunter frigate etc
