    I told people when the Krudd had his NBN brain fart that it would be a colossal waste of money and that the future was wireless, and people told me I was being stupid. I remember the French government and their massive white elephant the Minitel system. Same government stupidity, every single time.

    My phone reception has been having issues, yesterday the nbn carked it and I got spat on (my bag) by someone in Footscray. I’ve ordered $60 worth of coffee this morning, had 2 long blacks and I’m about to walk the dog in the rain and go to a bathhouse this arvo.

    @immyonboard @Telstra If you are talking about NBN, there are many choices of ISPs that are superior to Telstra. If you need mobile, anyone on the Vodafone network is probably the best (seems to be the most reliable of the 3 networks)

    @MythThrazz @Tqlax21 @Favwontmiss I have to get NBN. I live with my aunt and she thinks the internet is something that floats around in the air. 4g coverage here is poor. 5g isn’t much better.

    @MichaelRuyg yep, when they built the NBN fixed wireless tower, that carries optus and vodafone as well, it had a backup generator. then the tower got "upgraded" with 6 months of regular outages and then next power outage we discovered the backup generator and the ability to call 000 was gone

    @TopherField Our sports club is 12.5km from Darwin's CBD and there is no NBN provisioning and the available wireless is dogshit. So yeah, Starlink it is and things have never been better.

    @TopherField The NBN started in Broken Hill my refrigeration systems on the towers where the only ones running when it hit 45c. They rang me up and said how come mine where the only one still working. Because I used Temperzone Australian Airconditioners with adjustable head preasure I increased. I didnt tell them all they had to do with the other was remove the thermistors off the head preasure on the American systems.

    @desmondbratcat @nbn @Starlink In a sense its not the ISPs fault, its the NBNs fault. The problem as per last week, an NBN tech came out to connect someone in my complex. Seems he unplugged me at the pit. I don't know why we still have ISPs when they just default to the NBN to come out & fix the issue.

    @p_terg IT ordeal 😵‍💫 They got the NBN on today. Box nowhere near the computer and computer doesn’t have a wifi adapter. So I did the dash down the road and got them a 10m Ethernet cable and away they go.

    @Starlink Hi, I received the Starlink kit today. I thought the installation would be easy, but I found it difficult. I have decided to keep my NBN service instead, so I would like to cancel my Starlink service and return the kit. Please let me know the return process. Thank you.
