@SawyerMerritt @Starlink This is great to see. I see a lot of Starlink dishes around where I am in rural Australia. I think Starlink has now become a great competitor to NBN. No need to wait 2-3 months for a technician to come out and fix the internet. There is also no need for 2-hour calls with ISPs in order to arrange for that technician. Starlink is truly revolutionary.

@Telstra nbn outage this morning, since then internet dropouts every two minutes. Called Telstra support 3x today - they all went through the script. I told them it was definitely a Telstra issue since this happened before and was fixed by Telstra externally. (1/n)

@optus_help your nbn is a joke. For about a month in my area it’s been “network degradation, fixed within 5 days” and then 5 days later it’s another few days expected and this continuously happens. Now it says expected to be fixed yesterday but it’s today and still awful.

@HDealla I had such terrible NBN I got Starlink. People thought I was making it up that i had 7mbps download and 14mbps upload. It made it impossible to use Teams during Covid and I had to physically go to the Federal Court to sit in a court-room with a security guard because teams was

My OAP neighbor's phone cuts out every 12 months because her NBN box shits itself at least once a year. Rather than wait a week for a certain telecommunications company to send out a poorly paid contractor to fix it, I cycle it and press the reset button on the modem. Job done

@AvidCommentator OMG, remember the NBN saga? What an absolute crap show that was. Seriously, when was the last time we had actual quality, greatest good type policy from either side of the two majors? Has to be decades ago now.

@AvidCommentator @cdilga @qa__rocks Yup, the copper wire in the pit even with an FTTC is the 'Achilles' heel' due to moisture ingress/corrosion due to poor terminations/reterminations. I had frequent dropouts until the NBN folks came and reterminated the copper.

@veritas__vox I pay $85 for NBN broadband which has been steadily rising in cost lately. Had it for years. I don't game or teleconference. I STOPPED using it for Netfizz and other because there is so much garbage. So why am I paying for so much bandwidth. Screw it. I'm cutting the cable.

@MickamiousG @Starlink It's expensive as **** though so I'll stick to the ********* nbn for now...
