  Home internet is down, BUT, according to Australia's "Lightning Fast" NBN... There IS no outage... Yeahhhhhhh.... The "Not Online" indicator light says otherwise. Optus are now "confirming" there's a problem... 🙄

  @GamewithDave The only network connected devices I own are my Windows desktop PC, my HMD Pulse+ Android phone, my ISP-provided TP-Link router and my ISP-provided NBN FTTC NCD modem. I refuse to buy any of the "smart" crap.

  @RennickGBR My issue with point 3 is that for the last 2 decades, there hasn’t been one federal project that was delivered on time and on budget, every single infrastructure built blew the budget completely. So it’s just more spending. Snowy hydro, NBN, inland rail, hunter frigate etc

  Terrible service from @NBN_Australia One of their field techs accidentally cut off our whole Strata building with a bad telecommunications patch next to the NBN Node. I told the tech (27hours ago) but they went home without fixing it. A Level 2 escalation has yielded nothing. Gr

We would Reduce ATO staff by at least half over 5 years because flat tax rates will require less compliance staff, and it is essential to reduce the possibility of the tax system regrowing; similarly, scale back agencies such as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Australian Competition and Consumer Commissioner and the laws they administer; and sell government business enterprises, including the NBN, ABC, SBS, and the Future Fund, and use the proceeds to pay down debt.   @theinfradev @ruicharadrius I'm not revising history. The plan was fttp everywhere, with Telstra and optus copper being bought out to move them to the NBN. The copper was never going to be used for the NBN. Look at the Telstra definitive agreements from 2011.

  No idea exactly who's staying and who's going (we'll likely find out soon enough), but one hopes Nine proper or 2HD/the Super Radio Network* may pick up some displaced NBN staff. *Come on, ex-NBN News talent can't be any worse than some of the presenters they've got right now!
