  • TheNightFlower
    💧(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ 🐨🦘 (@TheNightFlower) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@TPG_Telecom 4am and right on cue, no WiFi. Happens every night, several times. I work nights until quite late so this is when I relax and watch tv. We have no digital tv signal here so all our news and media comes through the NBN. 😣 So frustrating when it consteantly drops out.

  • NatsterJane
NJT (@NatsterJane) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@thebeerbeagle @EE You could stay in Australia and have access to @Telstra's #5G network and the ever so reliable #NBN. Or just move @TwoTribesBrew HQ to Adelaide for @CityofAdelaide's 10 gigabyte, most connected city in the world.

Treble Sketch 🔜 FurDU '23丨@TrebleSketch@ibite.lol (@ILM126) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Aussie_BB Awesome, thanks for the update! Curious, this would have still been a problem if my NBN connection would have been FTTP (instead of FTTC) or it didn't really matter in the end?

  • MichalakisCon
Con Michalakis (@MichalakisCon) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

Demand side types - fix energy, NBN and boost research incentives (higher ed and corp)

  • Cruedevil
Sir Dave 'Cruedevil' (@Cruedevil) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@JackJaeger7 @Optus Maybe get ya cable in the roof replaced. Some houses have old copper caballing that is crappy for NBN. As soon as I replaced mine with Cat6 not a problem. Cost about $250 installed from Mr Telco!

  • DonWestley1
💧 Don Westley (@DonWestley1) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@AaronDodd @jason_om Y'know, I wonder how much a metre that cable is, as I might get them to run a fibre from the house down the street, cheaper than the #NBN! 😎

  • rovingblonde
Andrea (@rovingblonde) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@JezNews I am avoiding NBN too...and to think of the service we could have had!

  • DivaDiaspora
Dr Fidelma McCorry (@DivaDiaspora) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@VodafoneAU seriously if I can’t through or someone doesn’t call me I am going to lose it. I’ve been trying for 3 months to cancel home wifi. You’re still charging when I have nbn. Now threatening me with cut off when I’ve been paying my bills minus the wifi plan!! 😡 Come on!!

  • drnicktellis
Dr Nick Tellis (@drnicktellis) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@NBN_Australia Hello there Imagine my joy when this solved my problem That will make two of us imagining a solution to this 💩 Sending me to an IVR that sends me a text is not a solution You can DM me... @Telstra should have gone with @Optus

  • iEmRollin
Emily Fung (@iEmRollin) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

So apparently NBN is down for quite a few areas in different states, good work making it not only slow but unreliable.

  • micwoodward
ᗰIᑕᕼᗩEᒪ (@micwoodward) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@NBN_Australia Hey there, it says that I can connect, but RSP are telling me that NBN will not process any service requests. Previously had a service at the same address.

  • iEmRollin
Emily Fung (@iEmRollin) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@NBN_Australia We just got our NBN connection back 15 minutes ago (after 13 hours of outage), @Telstra is still showing an outage page on their website tho.

  • LadyPoop2
Lady Pooh (@LadyPoop2) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@MeckeringBoy @abcnews Turnball had a lot to do with Crap NBN, as well. He has connections with Coppermine😑Don't rule this greedy Bastard Out😝

  • Kristie_Bae
Kristie Baehnisch (@Kristie_Bae) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

Hey @iiNet this NBN business is the worst!! Had it for two weeks wish I’d never switched from naked broadband. Internet is so slow, it’s unusable. Having to rely on my phone data. HELP.

  • LadyPoop2

@D_Melissa2 @TurnbullMalcolm MT never forgiven for the NBN.😑😐Too Unreliable......

  • mikesmithson7
Mike Smithson (@mikesmithson7) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

REALLY disappointed that @NBN_Australia can’t seem to fix a basic problem which has left dozens of customers stranded in Glen Osmond since Thursday. Each tech handballs it to another.🤬

  • morebento
morebento (@morebento) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@dobes @moylecroft I had no end of problem with NBN but not TPG fault

  • realLeoJames

@fjzeit And to think Labor just wanted to build this for the same cost the Libs spend 😜 I won’t forgive them given I had really bad non nbn internet during the start of Covid while I had to work from home

  • z51588
    Jonesy (@z51588) reported

@MrBrokenEyes Yes!!! I was just searching for exactly the same thing as my nbn has conveniently gone down right after the alert.

  • CharmsYahoo
    💜𝕏 CharmsVic 𝕏 💜 (@CharmsYahoo) reported

@JaneCaro @AlboMP We need some caution because satellite Starmind will solve the electricity and water problem just as Starlink has solved the NBN problem

  • TasDevyl
    TassieDevyl (@TasDevyl) reported

@ArtistAffame That's not bad. The only option I have where I am is Fixed Wireless. Essentially 4G/5G cell tower and fixed "antenna" on the roof. NBN service via iinet (TPG). Given the distance from the tower I only get a portion of the theoretical maximum throughput. Costs more than your plan.

  • tayser82
    Alastair Taylor (@tayser82) reported

@OperationalInc1 Whenever the NBN low-earth orbit satelitte service kicks off (Amazon's burgeoning network), the backup should switch to that. Aside from some parts of inner Perth/Melb/Syd/Bris, all of the rail network is on the surface and will be able to uplink, I would have thought.

  • RaymondKeown3
    Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported

It is grand final day for that very failed ex labor fool Pommie Stephen Conroy. At his presser he is lying his arse off. It is time @SkyNewsAust must dump this labor liar Conroy. Remember when he was the minister for the NBN his budget was $8.4 billion and a build time of 8 years Pommie Conroy is just another labor fail Enough @SkyNewsAust We do pay subscriptions to you Show us some respect!

  • DoodyDarren
    Darren (@DoodyDarren) reported

@ianclarkeAU @CovfefeDnUnder The NBN cannot do it now, but the optic fibres it uses can. Only the gear at either end changes. There is not a wireless system in existence that could carry the existing load of the NBN, let alone future needs. Talk to a network engineer, please.

  • ChrisAitchiso14
    Chris Aitchison (@ChrisAitchiso14) reported

@craigkellyAFEE i actually thought it would of been way more than that, not that i like the bloke but for once his budget hasn't blown to to NBN porportions. I'm trying to get the AI to work out how many Starlink Service Networks to cover Australia. The slowest speed availiable 100Mbps, $75, UNLIMITED. To basically run a fishing line size string from a pit to the home, bolt on 2 Boxes, connect the fishing wire and bobs your uncle.. So if the Blowout was 10 or 14 Billion on a fishing wire size cable, can you image the shitshow it will be on the blowout to run all the transmission for their NOT so green energy. Lets hope we don't have to look at their muppet heads in a ocuple of yearsd, bloodty trainwrecks they are

  • RedoubtOfThomas

@lowlandsapien Never forget the NBN rollout either.

  • Haalyle
    Haalyle (@Haalyle) reported

No wifi today, we've had some electrical problems, mainly to do with the washing machine. That just means a relaxing Sunday of playing them games (now that the electricity is on). (NBN always takes a long time to recover.)
