Grant Dewberry (@BigunitGrant) reported from Hervey Bay, Queensland@MichelleKHarper yay!! NBN is finally connected & working. We’re back online after 5 weeks of no internet & hotspotting our iPhones. That’s pretty good service, you’ll never match that in Canada 😊
-
Grant Dewberry (@BigunitGrant) reported from Hervey Bay, Queensland@MichelleKHarper You won’t believe it. NBN won’t work, none of the troubleshooting worked, now will need to make an appointment for a technician to sort out the problem. Bonus; old internet connection now disconnected so we have no internet access at all #KillMeNow 😕

Greg McGarvie (@GregMcgarvie) reported from Hervey Bay, Queensland@NBN_Australia Interesting I was forced by NBN from cable to their solution - halved my connection speed

Grant Dewberry (@BigunitGrant) reported from Hervey Bay, QueenslandDear @Optus it’s been a good 25 years. But, you’re testing us on our changeover to @NBN_Australia Still no internet & 3 no show tech appointments to connect our FTTC so far. Tired of waiting for a tech who never turns up. Now considering what other options are available to us 😕

Greg McGarvie (@GregMcgarvie) reported from Hervey Bay, Queensland@NBN_Australia Appreciate your response! Strange the actual service provider passes the buck. Currently forced to mobile with better speeds! If you have a direct portal to Telstra so I don’t have to go through the long wait process that would be helpful!

Saxon Nicholls (@saxonnicholls73) reported@TheKouk You retards are joking surely ? Government is an impediment not a support …. Seriously - Government has nothing to contribute - the world has changed for talented people - no need for University, no need for handouts, forget NBN - Starlink … list goes on
-
MR Reilly (@mrr78504) reported@econoadabsurdam @LeeRespecter The NBN might plausibly have increased productivity if it had retained its original scope (A FTTN fibre backbone network independent of Telstra that would allow telecommunication companies to compete on an equal footing). Instead it got rolled out first in Tasmania.

JustMate (@Ruslan11431897) reported@AvidCommentator Starlink is much cheaper…personally I never had NBN and can’t understand why average home user prefers NBN over starlink right now…
-
some0nethere (@some0nethere) reported@OMGTheMess I am an EV driver, but I do not think others should be paying for it. Perhaps if the government invested in standing up a government owned charger network that had a sound business case and sold it later, that might be ok. However, that was what NBN was supposed to do with internet...

Carmel Fay (@CarmelFay) reported@robb_j_m Starlink. Prior to that we had a satellite connection through the NBN in our rural area which was a bit of a nightmare. They brought in this 'fair use' clause that if you went over a certain amount, you'd get suspended, but it was never terribly clear if you were approaching your limit. It was a rolling limit. I don't know if they still have it. Probably. And then our plan, the larger one, was removed and we were put on some weird sort of plan that gave us no real allocation where we couldn't even watch youtube. Really shabby way to treat customers. Starlink is reliable, has good speeds and no limits on usage, and we never get throttled. It's about $135 a month, but we're happy to pay. We'd never go back to NBN.
