Currently forced to mobile with better speeds! If you have a direct portal to Telstra so I don’t have to go through the long wait process that would be helpful!

But, you’re testing us on our changeover to @NBN_Australia Still no internet & 3 no show tech appointments to connect our FTTC so far. Tired of waiting for a tech who never turns up. Now considering what other options are available to us 😕

NBN won’t work, none of the troubleshooting worked, now will need to make an appointment for a technician to sort out the problem. Bonus; old internet connection now disconnected so we have no internet access at all #KillMeNow 😕

Wal (@wally_waldo83) reported@Batman2242 A big part of our productivity problem is that starting from the 2010's more of our spending now goes to megatech platforms that extract Australian revenue without the old local multiplier. When $100 went to Ford or Holden, a retailer or a local media company, a large portion recycled through local wages, suppliers, property, logistics and tax. Now when $100 goes to a global ad platform, streaming service or cloud provider much more can disappear offshore through IP, reseller fees and related party charges with far less local employment or supplier spend despite the use of infrastructure like NBN and roads. So government keeps importing demand and taxing workers harder to fund services while more private spending leaks offshore to low local footprint platforms. That extraction is not productive for our economy and is increasingly an issue, especially when profits are being offshored and Australian taxpayers are unfairly carrying the burden.

Deevitha (@Deevitha_) reportedFinally bit the bullet and got Starlink installed. Highly impressed, the speed and stability runs everything beautifully. We haven’t had a single circle of death anywhere. No more dealing with the shortfalls of NBN lines, poor workmanship and dodgy patchwork repairs. In our exit survey from the old company I let them know the reason for leaving was the poor service the NBN infrastructure can provide, and now that customers have another choice we aren’t limited by the failing system. Highly recommend the switch if you have been considering it.

Andrea (@1963amh) reported@SharkaByrne @newscomauHQ I paid extra to keep it at the time, so it would be accessible when nbn goes down. Or so I thought. Not sure what I paid extra for ( possibly another outlet )but it didn’t work, totally useless when it’s down. So much for progress.

The concept was determined by an independent cost benefit analysis which determined upgrading to fibre provided the best benefit for the cost based on existing and concept tech. Libs destroyed the plan and the economics of the #nbn

So government response to this is to spend more dollars on their unworkable rubbish. I can't think of a better argument why big government needs to go

Alastair Taylor (@tayser82) reported@OperationalInc1 Whenever the NBN low-earth orbit satelitte service kicks off (Amazon's burgeoning network), the backup should switch to that. Aside from some parts of inner Perth/Melb/Syd/Bris, all of the rail network is on the surface and will be able to uplink, I would have thought.

It's local news obviously but there's a couple news sites in Australia talking about how a lot of us will be ****** by digital only because of how bad our NBN and wifi still is and how far behind we all are

A disgraceful act when we also needed to upgrade to the optic fibre network at the same time. The LNP / Foxtel version of the NBN was another disgraceful failure ....
