Namecheap Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • apedotc ape.c/ (@apedotc) reported

@namebasd Unfortunately, their support not available at all for non-customers. Pre-sales questions are not encouraged. I would like to try or at least know if SLDs from Porkbun or Namecheap also work before signing up for an annual subscription for $45…

  • onlinestratfr David Chelly (@onlinestratfr) reported

@kalasekdotcom @Namecheap I'm sure you are not and thus imo Namecheap is not a registrar for you. Their ethics is more than questionable and support is bad. Prices are ok (except when the charge abusive fees for nothing), but there are so many better registrars with good prices

  • SergioServantez Sergio Servantez (@SergioServantez) reported

@angrymouse_hns Namecheap will begin rooting HNS domains this week. My guess is Opera will sync their support of HNS domains to release at the same time as the registry launches. Activity should start picking up real soon.

  • noahflk Noah 🧩 (@noahflk) reported

TIL that Cloudflare has a domain registrar service with great prices. A .com costs $8.50 Unfortunately no country specific domains so I’m staying with Namecheap for now.

  • iwebspage iWeb (@iwebspage) reported

Avoid @Namesco Requesting all to NOT fall for low domain price. Bought on 9th & now their system flagged my account. They don't reply to mails I've tons of domains with namecheap porkbun & no issue At @NamePros forum NOBODY has good experience with them #domains #domainnames #RT

  • Namecheap Namecheap.com (@Namecheap) reported

@j_ajagan It's definitely up to you whether to choose our services. As for the details - the matter is that the Support account and Namecheap account are unrelated (you may have 0 NC accs and several support ones to talk to us), thus it is needed to log in separately

  • zafardgk ZAFAR IQBAL (@zafardgk) reported

Don't Buy @Namecheap Hosting and Domain Namecheap Is Service so bad customer support unprofessional behavior don't invest in This Company Totally fruad and illegally scam with customers I lost my $ in Namecheap Wallet @US_CYBERCOM @VOCPK1 #hosting #Domains #don'tbuy

  • j_ajagan Jagan A (@j_ajagan) reported

@Namecheap why do we need to go to support to transfer i just expired domains when we have authentication code? such a simple process made ridiculous.🤔

  • StonkeyKongg Stonkey Kong (@StonkeyKongg) reported

@tragicrain911 @Wicked_Bull And/or consolidate domain names. Maybe domain names of companies that will be coming in to holdco are on Namecheap? Who knows? Either way, good move as Godaddy sucks...

  • NamesOfLondon James, The Gateway to Handshake 🗹 (@NamesOfLondon) reported

@CategoryDomains we've had some great support from Richard at NameCheap and we've got a lawyer sorting out a response just annoying & pointless, really

  • hmdfutbol hammad (@hmdfutbol) reported

@_jasonmountford @saintvienna @Namecheap Because alot of the time the customer support over email is lacking, the consistent malware attacks and the lack of awareness/support makes it impossible to consider then

  • kalasekdotcom Mike Kalasek (@kalasekdotcom) reported

    @AtulAGhorpade @Namecheap Me too. WTF #Namecheap?? 😡🤬

  • j_ajagan Jagan A (@j_ajagan) reported

@Namecheap Cool. I decided to reconsider whether to stay with this nice explanation as I mostly transfer domains about the time it expires. I cannot contact namecheap everytime when it should be automatic. The support ticket also not including information even when logged in.

  • mrg9999 mrg9999 (@mrg9999) reported

Namecheap livechat. agent is asking me what ssh is. He then googled it and posted the wiki back to me and asked what my problem is. NOW I KNOW WHY NAMECHEAP IS CALLED NAMECHEAP

  • euboid Wilson Wilson (@euboid) reported

@noahflk I actually don't like namecheap. The UX is horrible IMO. I'd stick with a service like Porkbun or Gandi if they had more tlds at better prices.

  • greghvns Greg (@greghvns) reported

@tibo_maker I think you should talk: 1) He found a vulnerability and could help find other ones 2) On one of the Namecheap products we had a user who wrote a script to automate something, which didn’t work properly, and caused weird activity. He didn’t know what he did was wrong

  • JeanKennedy51 Jean Kennedy (@JeanKennedy51) reported

@DubBusLive @Namecheap Just got to the bus stop in stoneybatter where a number 70 had just closed the doors. I knocked at the door and the driver looked at me and drove off. Customer service at it's best

  • _jasonmountford Jason Mountford 🔺 🚀 (@_jasonmountford) reported

@hmdfutbol @saintvienna @Namecheap Why is it a no go? Genuinely curious. Everyone slags it off but I find it good. Their WhatsApp customer support is excellent.

  • Naive_amit Amit (@Naive_amit) reported

    Namecheap ssl service sucks

  • euboid Wilson Wilson (@euboid) reported

@Namecheap I may not like Namecheap's UI but your support is S-tier haha. It's a long list of problems, but I'll send a DM

  • BSciretti Brian Sciretti (@BSciretti) reported

@Namecheap you may be interested on the latter (on which I sent an abuse report 15 minutes ago, but I didn't find the network element)

  • WhipQSIExposed Whiplash347QSIExposed (@WhipQSIExposed) reported

@Namecheap @ultrastellarhq @Lobstrco it went down and then came back up.... Do you need further clearification? we have all the blockchain evidence too

  • onlinestratfr David Chelly (@onlinestratfr) reported

@kalasekdotcom @Namecheap Except if you are involved in cybersquatting and similar activities than Namecheap has specialized in, both for itself and for its clients, there's imo no reason to have domains with them. The US have several of the worst registrars (ie Netsol) but also decent ones like Dynadot

  • unwoman UNW0MⒶN (@unwoman) reported

Oh nice, my website is down because it seemed like "Premium DNS" would be a nice thing to add. Thanks a lot, namecheap, this was exactly what I didn't want to happen!

  • Endless_WebDev (webdev "Tory") (@Endless_WebDev) reported

For years my web hosting needs, including a number of websites and five or six email addresses, have been provided by Bluehost. But they were bought up by a mega provider, became heartless, and outsourced all service overseas. I already moved my DNS hosting to Namecheap, (1/2)

  • IntrovertGeekUK Introverted Geek (@IntrovertGeekUK) reported

@saintvienna Domains purchased through @Namecheap the hosted on @Cloudways Never had any issues with them

  • CenturyAvocado Hambone Fakenamington (@CenturyAvocado) reported

@namecheap @namecheapceo Phishing domain registered and hosted with you hxxps://vn-reddeer.com/gd87shjw002df/ login.php used to send stolen information using an html attachment to email to victims.

  • j_ajagan Jagan A (@j_ajagan) reported

@Namecheap How other companies are able to do it with out help of support? This is ridiculous explanation. Also when I am logged in why I need to give all the details again. Why support ticket is not including details?
