  • dxgl_org William (@dxgl_org) reported

@sharpfilejeff @Cloudflare @phyzonloop They are registered via @Namecheap and are still up. Namecheap is a Cloudflare customer too.

  • dakotathekat kota//Kæt - "Stows-In-Tote" 🇺🇸🇨🇦🌐 (@dakotathekat) reported

Had a brief panic because my transfer into Namecheap didn't go through yet. @NameCheapCEO: Your support staff are better at troubleshooting a GoDaddy issue than GoDaddy themselves.

@zapakitul @Namecheap Check your device date/time ... it might be the problem. It happens me so many time when testing stuff with iOS/Android devices ...

@Namecheap One species I will try to survey for in the creek itself but where access to creek itself is allowed is Pacifastacus leniusculus - a.k.a. signal crayfish - an invasive crayfish that if present hopefully can be exterminated.

@Namecheap leaving my organisation without emails and website for over 48 hours despite raising a ticket and having over 8 live chats!! Shocking service! We will be claiming losses on this!! #DontBuyFromNameCheap #Shocking

  • ThisisYRN Youth Radio Network (@ThisisYRN) reported

@Namecheap Really disheartened that it has taken you more than 48 hours to respond to a ticket which in relsult has left us with no emails or website even tho customer service is at your forefront! Unfortunately ur to this we have no emails or website services :( #Shocking

Hey @Namecheap thanks for the notification that you were going to charge my credit card a month in advance, oh wait you never sent one and charged my anyways.

  • Cameron_Ray Cam Ray (@Cameron_Ray) reported

Regarding the tech: I used Gatsby and deployed with Netlify. First time using both and I had a really good experience. I tried to deploy with AWS like I usually do but ran into Cloudfront issues with SSL and my Namecheap DNS. Netlify did all of that for me. So I like it.

@Namecheap I respect your work. Google Safe Browsing has great power to fight Phishing..... however, it is really Dangerous for Web Service Providers if false positive occurred. Yes, "With great power comes great responsibility". I feel Google don't know this phrase.🙄

  • Griffo_ Craig Griffiths (@Griffo_) reported

@GrindstoneSEO And the come down come renewal time when namecheap start reminding you about 6 months out

  • KyleAPennell Kyle Pennell (@KyleAPennell) reported

@Namecheap Your support is really really frustrating...I would not recommend you to anyone

  • hilarysk Hilary Stohs-Krause (@hilarysk) reported

@Namecheap And apart from the practical issues with the refusal to allow hyphens occasionally preventing me from *buying a product and supporting your business*, there's also the very real othering effect.

  • hilarysk Hilary Stohs-Krause (@hilarysk) reported

@Namecheap And many forms won't even indicate the hyphen is what's causing issues - they'll just give the super helpful alert of "Something went wrong; please try again later." I know by now to check if it's the hyphen, but like .... duuuuuude.

  • SpamSheriff Spam Sheriff (@SpamSheriff) reported

@1937Up I've been tracking them for a while. The spams are used to spamvertise several "companies" in the US and 90% of the domains used are registered thru Namecheap. Amazonaws is slow to take action and the spammer is always back at it after a few days.

  • kravietz_ Paweł Krawczyk ( (@kravietz_) reported

I've been at Joker, GoDaddy, NameCheap etc and each time laboriously migrated all my domains to a new registrar due to some features missing. Now, a year after I migrated to @ClouDNS I can confirm they have exactly what I need - very fast support, IPv6, DNSSEC, good prices.

  • thewebmaster_ Prince Ighodalo (@thewebmaster_) reported

I am very elated with @Namecheap support team, wish Nigerian hosting companies can emulate them, they solve problems within minutes.

  • Paul_Reviews Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported

@Namecheap @TravisPflanz ... which is still bad practice. Likewise your suggestion to update #passwords regularly. When a user asks to change their password, they expect two things. 1) Their password is updated 2) Any old secrets are discarded safely

  • Adrian_Xt Adrian X (@Adrian_Xt) reported

@mindstatex @BTC_de_Blog Namecheap offers shared hosting where you install your own WP database or a Eazy-WP service where they have a performance option and they manage everything. They accept BitPay payments, no BSV yet.

  • lucasmzanella Lucas Zanella (@lucasmzanella) reported

  • BernYuwil Yuwil Bern (@BernYuwil) reported

@knirirr I used to use Namecheap but their support really went downhill. Gandi charges 2x more than what you should have to pay, last I checked.. never pay more than ~$10 for a dot com. Also keep in mind transfers can take 2-3 weeks. Good luck! :)

  • cecycorrea Cecy Correa (@cecycorrea) reported

uggggh having such issues with @namecheap right now, just going to bulk transfer all my domains to @Porkbun. #consolidate

  • luckyankit Ankit Chugh 🌪️ (@luckyankit) reported

@Paytmcare I'll check after 2 days to see if you really took any action. Taking down domain and hosting via a simple complaint to @namecheap should not be an issue.

  • jennylens Jenny Lens (@jennylens) reported

@Namecheap : WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Most bland, corporate, impersonal response to a REAL human warning YOU about the future of YOUR company + WordPress REAL issues. Just renewed 2 or 3 domains. I will never renew again + will remove my domains when renewal again. OMG.

  • dakotathekat kota//Kæt - "Dou dou dou..." 🇺🇸🇨🇦🌐 (@dakotathekat) reported

Finally transferring my last critical domain off of @GoDaddy. **** your profiteering bullshit at renewal for the last few years. No more. Saving well over 50% off on this renewal on the xfer to Namecheap.

  • jennylens Jenny Lens (@jennylens) reported

@Namecheap YOUR users are looking for some support, emotionally and technically. Not to be beaten down and treated as if we are stupid or stubborn. I LEARN NEW SOFTWARE every week!!!! Don't do this cos it will hurt your bottom line! LISTEN to your users.

  • jennylens Jenny Lens (@jennylens) reported

@Namecheap as a loyal customer so upset at SNARKY attitude of the woman who wrote re Gutenberg. She scolded us for not using Classic editor plug. I READ it was only good til 2020. She said 2022. NO tutorial + lots of rumors. HOW dare yr staff treat YR customers rudely! GB is bad!

I f******* hate you @Namecheap just the worst

  • salted_eg0 the wraith (@salted_eg0) reported

@cexmang i used namecheap for both domains AND hosting and it didn't feel too dumb, but i did not do a deep dive into researching all this. regardless, i dont recall it being too expensive, and the price of my domains has never gone up (i let my hosting lapse recently bc i may switch idk)

  • Isaacchibuikejn ! Confuse Programmer() ; (@Isaacchibuikejn) reported

@NuttyRichie @Namecheap Namecheap shut down for domain for completely 2 months plus, telling me my domain was suspended due to phishing activities..

  • robkerry Rob Kerry (@robkerry) reported

Network Solutions have mastered the art of friction. A four page form before you can transfer a domain away from them and no bulk requests. Then they take 3 days to send the Auth Code, as if someone is mailing it to you on a postcard. With you soon @Namecheap!

  • mgouzrou Mouad Gouzrou (@mgouzrou) reported

@Namecheap Fix your servers ASAP. We didn't pay tens of dollars to be down !

  • NuttyRichie Richie (@NuttyRichie) reported

Grrr some of @Namecheap servers are down - including mine! They're getting worse and worse!

  • OpenNodeCo OpenNode (@OpenNodeCo) reported

Companies like @ATT and @Namecheap received a ton of demand for adding Bitcoin as a payment method and eventually added Bitcoin support. Tag a company in the comments that you would like to see accept Bitcoin Lightning Network payments. #DoYouAcceptBitcoin

  • tomben Tom Benninger (@tomben) reported

Bravo to @Namecheap’s support team. I had a few domains lingering at another registrar and they were having issues. I was able to transfer one to NameCheap and get it working while I’m still waiting on a reply from support at the first registrar. The other domains are on the way.

  • Namecheap (@Namecheap) reported

@tehseowner We completely understand your concerns and would like to assure you that at Namecheap we always try to provide our clients with the most favorable deals and support their wish to get fixed pricing for their services with no upsells or hidden fees. [2]

  • JWallaceParker Joe Parker (@JWallaceParker) reported

@Namecheap You have some control, because support keeps offering me lower prices to stay. Just not nearly low enough, I'm afraid. Ten year customer and I literally have told everyone who asks to use Namecheap.

  • JWallaceParker Joe Parker (@JWallaceParker) reported

This is sad, @Namecheap. Looks like we're going to have to break up. I've been a customer for over ten years and recommend you to everyone. But now I'm leaving forever over a redemption fee you won't waive for a domain that was on auto renew that expired. I had fun though!

  • SydneyWorks Sydney Crossrail by Modern Bradfield (@SydneyWorks) reported

@tayser82 @Namecheap Thanks Tayser. Just wait til #Wanderer - a REAL Western City - gets sketched in. 😎 It takes a surprising amount of time and effort to squeeze it all in to an A3 sheet. And, perhaps, to think up adaptations and additions to the network to get all day turn up and go everywhere.

  • Lovebird_Monroe M.T. DIXON💜 (@Lovebird_Monroe) reported

@wynta_tyme Squarespace gives it to you free for the first year with the purchase of a hosting service. Namecheap you can get it for line $8-10 for a year.

  • ChrisBlundell Chris Blundell (@ChrisBlundell) reported

Getting truly truly awful customer service from @Namecheap today.

  • tiffbartel Tiff Bartel (@tiffbartel) reported

  • Isaacchibuikejn ! Confuse Programmer() ; (@Isaacchibuikejn) reported

@Namecheap I want my domain name back.. That's all I want.. I don't want your service anymore. You put a new startup company out of business for over (2)months now and you all are less concern about.

  • Isaacchibuikejn ! Confuse Programmer() ; (@Isaacchibuikejn) reported

@Namecheap My partner and I are sick and tired of submitting tickets all the time and yet nothing has been done to resolve the problem.

  • Isaacchibuikejn ! Confuse Programmer() ; (@Isaacchibuikejn) reported

@Namecheap My advice to namecheap is to please eradicate the process of ticket submission, is it not helping hand in solving any issues regarding domain suspension..

  • bopolissimus bopolissimus (@bopolissimus) reported

@2degreesmobile and then a namecheap CNAME to the dynv6 hostname since namecheap dynamic DNS doesn't support IPv6. Seafile is working except on Linux but not on my android. I have yet to check on Windows. It'll probably be fine there though.

  • betgoats Bet Goats🐐 (@betgoats) reported

@JustSociety4all @Learned_Stoner @akinalabi It's paying for quality service. Please go buy a domain and hosting from Namecheap let's see the outcome from 10k. Unless you are talking about operating on a free wordpress domain which is totally unprofessional. Go to Fiverr and search wordpress gigs, stop insulting the craft.

  • NINK NINK (@NINK) reported

@AndyBruce I used name cheap but make sure emails are all up to date. Some were in wife /kids names as contact. It is very manual process and you get about 4 emails per domain from godaddy and 2 or 3 per domain from namecheap. .ca sends you more. Livechat for help & promo codes to transfer.
