I use @namecheap which is a perfectly standard domain service. I don't have any involvement with Panama or it's tax systems.

  • jayshiv_19 Sanjay Soni (@jayshiv_19) reported

@Namecheap Your customer support team is really really very bad, lazy and uneducated. They don't even know how to better serve your customers while they are loosing their business and customers. Don't know how they thrive their customer.

  • PatkellyDesigns Patrick Kelly (@PatkellyDesigns) reported

@Namecheap I'm closing my account because a live support agent tried to fish me for sensitive information then refused to give me contact information for a supervisor. #fraud #BBB19 and there is no phone number. Guess I have to replace all my credit cards

  • akemidawn Akemi Dawn Bowman (@akemidawn) reported

@ericsmithrocks I use Namecheap and haven't had any problems with them, plus their customer service is A+

  • cindymariej Eowyn 2020 (@cindymariej) reported

@ericsmithrocks Namecheap has never steered me wrong.

  • eoghanbeecher Eoghan Beecher (@eoghanbeecher) reported

@Philkst52 @sydhayat @ToryFibs Hi both, this isn’t true. They’ve used whoisguard, which is a service hosted in panama and is used to protect people’s personal info. It’s a partner or namecheap, who are a domain registry. It’s entirely normal and costs $4.99 a year. The Panama thing is a red herring.

  • skiamakhos 𝕾𝖐𝖎𝖆𝖒𝖆𝖐𝖍𝖔𝖘 (@skiamakhos) reported

OK, folks - hold your horses. #IndependentGroup's website is registered with NameCheap, who use a Whois privacy service that is registered in #Panama. That is not the same as Independent Group being registered in Panama. It just means they use a service there.

  • nicksid_mtl Nick Sid (@nicksid_mtl) reported

@Namecheap Your buggy OneTouch app has logged me out. Now I must do a very and annoying support chat (43 minutes currently) to disable 2FA. 🤬

  • adrianshort Adrian Short (@adrianshort) reported

@respeak_uk @joedafoneUK @UKLabour @TheIndGroup @Namecheap They can turn off whois privacy and I think they should. But there's no huge conspiracy here. Just people bumbling through setting up an online presence for a small group and not getting the details (including hosting service) right.

  • alushtom @Tom Harvey (@alushtom) reported

@HichamYezza @Namecheap 👍🏻 engineering here, making sure there is less noise in the signal.

  • MikeCleare Peadar "Big Dinner" O'Driscoll (@MikeCleare) reported

Hey @Namecheap , stop harassing me with emails to pay for a domain renewal. I already paid and renewed for 1 year. You renewed it for 2 due to some problem with "scheduled maintenance" . Your mistake, not mine so own it.

  • adrianshort Adrian Short (@adrianshort) reported

@skwawkbox This story is 100% false. That's the address of WhoisGuard Inc, a domain registration privacy service that's enabled by default on @Namecheap domains. Nothing to do with tax or where the Independent Group is based. Delete it and admit your error.

  • IncreXible IncreXible (@IncreXible) reported

I needed to change something with my @Namecheap hosting and their live chat support responded within less than a minute! I'm extremely happy that I switched to them.

  • anataboga Jon § Britain is Better than Brexit (@anataboga) reported

@mitchmusic @JulietMEvans The domain was registered on "Creation Date: 2019-02-10T17:44:19Z" not even two weeks ago let alone two years. Panama is simply an anonymised location from WhoisGuard privacy service from their domain registrar NameCheap.

  • retrokeeney retrokeeney (@retrokeeney) reported

@EuLexit @dazwright @skwawkbox It means nothing. The company they bought the name from (Namecheap) give a free domain privacy service which is based there. If @skwawkbox are this inept with basic facts i'd question anything else they write.

  • flashboy Tom Phillips (@flashboy) reported

Eh, WhoisGuard is just the free privacy service offered by their registrar, Namecheap. That's not the same as the website "being set up in a tax haven". (Namecheap is based in Arizona fwiw.)

  • KathRella Kath Rella (@KathRella) reported

@meh_party @TheIndGroup This is incorrect. They're using the WhoisGuard Domain Name Privacy service. WhoisGuard (based in Panama) is the default provider of Domain Name Privacy from Namecheap, which has offices in various locations, including London.

  • DavidCo74790798 David Coulson (@DavidCo74790798) reported

@Namecheap Read it again, I never said you hosted it, they registered it through you

  • zero2fire zero | walking to FIRE (@zero2fire) reported

@cocojamtravels @KasanConsulting @bogosian yeah. everything's fine on chrome but not fine on firefox so it's anything trying to make a new connection... hitting up namecheap support now. bleh. thx guys!

  • LANTitanScott Scott Williams (@LANTitanScott) reported

I'm so pissed with @Namecheap They took forever(4 weeks!) to recover my account access. In that time I lost a domain, my site hosting went down, and now they are trying to steal $235 to get my hosting back online when it was their fault I couldn't update the billing in time!

  • syedafiq_ Syed Afiq (@syedafiq_) reported

@Namecheap I changed my login password, now I can't login, it prompted me wrong username/password.

  • bigbrovar Othell Yarwyck (@bigbrovar) reported

@asemota @Namecheap The new guys have wrongfully disconnected us twice now.. Email, and tons of sites and services tied to the domain went offline.. I was going to head to their office with a base ball bat to have a decent conversion on why shit like that shouldn't be allowed to happen.

  • fergusondavid6 David Ferguson (@fergusondavid6) reported

  • PixelsbyTina Tina Martin (@PixelsbyTina) reported

@WixHelp @gainznerd @Namecheap LOL!! What a joke. No y'all aren't sorry and no y'all did not continue to help me. What a joke.

  • MTaylor_tweets Michael Taylor (@MTaylor_tweets) reported

@GoDaddy having your support team just google and read the same articles on support I'm reading isn't customer support. It's the blind leading the blind. After two hours I'm thinking it's best I transfer all domains to Namecheap.

  • antisocial_hd Ash | Bishop (@antisocial_hd) reported

@Namecheap Sorry, I can't remember the name. The app didn't let me take a screenshot. At first I was with someone from the domains department then she later transferred me to someone from the ssl department who showed me how to fix the problem. Everythn works fine now

  • antisocial_hd Ash | Bishop (@antisocial_hd) reported

@Namecheap I just activated the free ssl, I generated a CSR and completed all the steps, the ssl is showing activated on my namecheap dashboard, but I still can't access my site on ' its saying "certificate authority invalid" give me a solution, (don't refer me to live chat support pls)

  • AmiColeCo Ami (@AmiColeCo) reported

A bit annoyed that I got billed twice for one order when renewing my domains but @Namecheap's support helped out pretty fast. A bit of a bummer that I now have $130 unavailable to me because of it, but I should get my money back in 48 hours they said. Thanks for the good support.

  • blastofourpast Blastofourpast (@blastofourpast) reported

@Namecheap the problem was solved and the rep did incorrectly say it would happen again BUT its good to know its a one time verification. we still love namecheap!!

  • antisocial_hd Ash | Bishop (@antisocial_hd) reported

I'm trying to buy a shared hosting package, but it's showing "502 bad gateway" I can't even login. Please give me a solution asap @Namecheap

  • LanghamGeorge George⚡WL (@LanghamGeorge) reported

@avenger_hosting @thelogosmith @SiteGround U were right about hostgator. I remember when i purchase hosting at hostgatot, my credit card company emailing me that the transactions might "fraud", i never receive fraud warning when i do transaction. I ever purchase on godaddy, namecheap, codecanyon, or even small code seller

  • onreact_com Tadeusz Szewczyk (Tad Chef) (@onreact_com) reported

@redcrew @EasyWP @Namecheap No, I didn't! That sucks big time! I will ask @namecheap customer support about this. The blog has just been redesigned so there are still some bugs apparently. Thank you for the heads up! :-/

  • TheEdRayReport1 TheEdRayReport (@TheEdRayReport1) reported

@Namecheap Well I did register my domain on your site. The problem is I need the money first to register hosting. I'll figure out something because I do not want to miss the yearly deals for hosting. Getting a good hosting deal could allow me to upload videos on my website.

  • STFUImTweetn0_o C🔺C🔺HR|Business|Strategic Manager|Brand|Promo| (@STFUImTweetn0_o) reported

@Namecheap You Had Better Explain It , I Had To Go Through Alot A Backend Hoops To Reclaim My Locked Site and Its Hard To Do But Yall Allowed An ******* To Hijack A Registrar Locked Site, You Had Better Explain This Childish Damaging Shit

  • TheEdRayReport1 TheEdRayReport (@TheEdRayReport1) reported

It's so frustrating to run a website, but then it goes down constantly due to web hosting issues. Getting a Patreon donation means I can upgrade web hosting. I might switch to Namecheap (where I got my domain from). All I can do is gather a following a hope for the best.

  • RobertChiribuc Robert Chiribuc (@RobertChiribuc) reported

In a live chat with @Namecheap support for more than 50 minutes to make them understand that I cannot log in using cPanel in any way and they keep asking me if I tried to clear the cache although they cannot access it either 😃

  • temilasade temi lasade (@temilasade) reported

@ElizabethOgabi_ @GoDaddy @Namecheap oui! and their customer service is A1. also I have used @SiteGround but I prefer Namecheap.

  • weedforthegood Weed Man (@weedforthegood) reported

@Namecheap With the big sale you get spammed from porn to life insurance. Stay clear as this company has issue with privacy and spam laws !!!! If you want your info sold then signup for NAMESPAM !!!!

  • MattDeLuco Matt DeLuco (@MattDeLuco) reported

Just transferred one of many domains to @Namecheap because they offer their "WhoisGuard" service for free. Domain name holders shouldn't have to pay to keep personal info private. Looking at you @ICANN. #dns #privacy

  • PixelsbyTina Tina Martin (@PixelsbyTina) reported

@WixHelp @gainznerd @Namecheap I tried emails, looked for a phone number for a while, got super frustrated and came to ***** about it here. And THEN, customer service shows up. 🤣 Message sent.

@Namecheap Today I tried to buy a .de domain and told me on your purchase form that I needed to live in Germany. To avoid problems, change it.

  • apolloslater Apollo Slater (@apolloslater) reported

@wpmedic @InsanityIsFree @Namecheap @bitchute @BitBacker_io Yeah, they offered to reduce it, but can't waive it completely. Just sucks that I received no warning, and the "auto-renew" doesn't really auto-renew apparently, if you use Paypal. I received emails from them just fine otherwise.

  • apolloslater Apollo Slater (@apolloslater) reported

@InsanityIsFree @Namecheap @bitchute @BitBacker_io Working with support right now to identify & renew. I got one of them so far, on my own.

  • apolloslater Apollo Slater (@apolloslater) reported

@InsanityIsFree @Namecheap @bitchute @BitBacker_io No warning emails, yet I get order notifications just fine. So not a spam filter issue, as support claimed.

  • InsanityIsFree Jeremiah Harding 🌐 (@InsanityIsFree) reported

    @apolloslater @Namecheap @bitchute @BitBacker_io I've never had that happen - Namecheap is the only one I use.

  • n8brophy Nathan Brophy (@n8brophy) reported

@breki74 @Namecheap I like how they append the domain name to the cname host values when finalizing the DCV. And then it never activates because of that - it's a fun waste of time trying to figure out what went wrong. #sameBoat

  • breki74 Igor Brejc (@breki74) reported

If you want to get lost in a bad user interface, try out @Namecheap dashboard. I just lost 5 minutes trying to find out how to activate a newly renewed SSL certificate. The fact that their help pages are always outdated doesn't help either.

  • tyscript Tyler Harold (@tyscript) reported

@dylananson_ I'm somewhat skilled in web development. I make the website from scratch then put the files onto a VPS. Wix isn't bad if you're just looking to showcase your art. You can use @Namecheap to buy a domain like mine! If you need help setting up the domain, feel free to send a DM.
