NameCheap hosting is the most expensive host on the internet. They charge for everything and screw every customer. Let's do a lawsuit against them for all their false ads. Any takers?

@shirish_arya16 We’ve leaned toward Namecheap lately—clean UI, decent support, no upsell madness. What about you? Anyone using Spaceship?

  • zverhu Susid Zverhu (@zverhu) reported

@shirish_arya16 I always used Namecheap until it became impossible to pay with tokens, because the terrible BitPay asks for a passport. Spaceship is the same. I don't understand why they use BitPay.

  • gdbuildsgd Goksu (@gdbuildsgd) reported

@thesecara i'd die for namecheap, but was not satisfied with their customer support recently. also gonna need cloudflare storage for this one, so the switch makes sense.

@shirish_arya16 I usually go with Namecheap or Spaceship. Also built a Rust CLI tool to bulk-check domain availability: [domain-check]. Saves me from clicking through UIs — terminal does the work. Runs down 100-500 domains in less than a couple of seconds.

  • Cherelynn Cherelynn (@Cherelynn) reported

@GoPulsecom @Namecheap It’s quite pathetic honestly. Use a different dns provider. This whole delay is absolutely nonsense. Unless you have some sort of issues with domain ownership this should not occur.

@shirish_arya16 Namecheap was great, but then i couldn’t recover an old account, had terrible customer service, so now only squarespace.

  • Aaronontheweb Aaron Stannard (@Aaronontheweb) reported

@_neonsunset consolidating all of my domain names onto NameCheap is one of those to-do list tasks I've had for years - never important enough to penetrate the top of the list. But now that I'm going to have to fork over $30 each maybe it's time to get moving on it
