@jenniferbourn @paultobey @Namecheap I’ve been through this HUNDREDS of times. File a DMCA with Google as well. If the hosting co takes the site down, then great. If not, Google can remove them from the index.

@Namecheap Thank you very much! Also to clarify, it wasn't your fault the site went dark for a while, that was because I forgot to handle the transfer and df decided to shut it down a bit prematurely.

@TheRmbomo @JimBrowning11 @Namecheap If EIG's registrar's and hosting were closed down, that would remove a hell of a lot of them in the marketplace. At least it would leave the genuine ones still active. Closing them will also create mass hysteria for all the people that use them.

Had to take down my portfolio page. It was hosted on Github Pages on /portfolio. When applying a custom domain from Namecheap, I could not, no matter what I did, send it to /portfolio again. It always deployed itself on the main page. Anyone can help with this?

@Namecheap @JimBrowning11 wow, I’ve submitted so many domains like this to namecheap, took days to respond saying they are ‘investigating’, months to take down the site. About 50% of scammers I come across are using them. Namecheap needs to review their process.

@netsolcares This is a basic function. No thank you, I'll just have my clients leave the service. And switch to a competitor like GoDaddy, or Namecheap which are better experiences all around.
