Namecheap Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • MrDienns Dennis van der Veeke (@MrDienns) reported

@Inventivtalent @Namecheap I have rarely had any issues with OVH. They indeed don't have any support, but that's also what you pay for; or rather, what you don't pay for.

  • Inventivtalent inventivetalent 🌈 Haylee (@Inventivtalent) reported

@MrDienns @Namecheap At least they have a proper support that actually replies. Not like OVH lol

  • NameCheapCEO Richard Kirkendall (@NameCheapCEO) reported

@mahemoff @Namecheap As I said, this wasn't ignored. We could try to solve the problem incrementally or we could solve the problem in a wholesale manner which takes longer but would solve the problem entirely. We chose the latter. In any case, I can understand why you've made the decision you did.

  • MrDienns Dennis van der Veeke (@MrDienns) reported

@Inventivtalent @Namecheap That's another entry for my list of services to never use

  • jumpingjim01 James 🇪🇺 (@jumpingjim01) reported

@_jriley3 @clickKunst @Namecheap Yes because it's clear that you're the one the mucked up here 😂 you could have just called namecheap support and they would have sorted it for you. I've bought hundreds of domains from them. They're great!

  • ChristcuckTakes ChristcuckTakes 🇳🇴 (@ChristcuckTakes) reported

@slpng_giants_fr @Namecheap These sites are book archives you piece of shit.

  • UzairAhmad_Khan Uzair Ahmad Khan 🇵🇰 (@UzairAhmad_Khan) reported

Amazing support by Ksenia Reshnyuk. Give her a promotion @Namecheap

  • mahemoff !FALSE 😜 (@mahemoff) reported

Lost more domains due to Namecheap's ridiculous renewal setup. Every time I login, I see domains that expired even though I have credit card setup to renew. Farce. Time to move away for good.

  • thatmarcelbraun Marcel Braun (@thatmarcelbraun) reported

@archiebaer @Namecheap @letsencrypt To get support and provide more information to users

  • HexxiumGaming Andrew (Hexxium) :) (@HexxiumGaming) reported

@IceMugger @1888TechLine @Namecheap Reported plenty of abuse to them & other hosts over my time, Namecheap happily ignores issues unless they are hosting provider. For some reason they won't prevent illegal activity they can clearly see when they are the registrar of the domain name, because they are not the host

  • MrFahadKhan Fahad Khan (@MrFahadKhan) reported

I would like to take a moment to appreciate @Namecheap customer service. Especially Oleg Pogudin, who helped me recover my 8 months of hard work on my website. I had mistakenly deleted all of my content, without taking any backup due to a theme which I had applied.

  • MrFahadKhan Fahad Khan (@MrFahadKhan) reported

Because of him, I got each and everything on my website back! And soon I will be upgrading my account, just because of Namecheap's support. Kudos to Oleg!

  • sergeanthacker randi miller 🎮📱🖥 (@sergeanthacker) reported

Interesting that the @Namecheap domain is just a pass thru to, of course, a @tucows domain using @enom. And of course, everything in the WhoIs is redacted for the privacy of the hacker. Curious if they will even take the domain down.

  • TinyAssApt Simone (@TinyAssApt) reported

@KyleAnnS @jasminej_i Thanks! Our current theme is breaking all over the place. We use Divi; it broke our store, the post visual builder is a mess, and the site crashes all the time (we use Namecheap as a host and have only started having problems the last 6ish months since the last theme update).

  • kardnumas kardnumas 🍻 (@kardnumas) reported

@natfriedman Back when I was part of GitHub education I made an app hosted it in DigitalOcean using the credits that GitHub gave me and also domain from NameCheap. That app became so popularly that I had to shut it down. I hope one day I will pay back GitHub for all that experience. Thank you

  • 989Design Shawn MacDonald (@989Design) reported

I think, if @GoDaddy put their shoulder into it, they could be the worst company in tech. God, they suck. Seriously, you guys, if you need a URL, go to @Namecheap and save yourself a never ending string of hassles.

  • BSkySoul Mi. (Ellie) (@BSkySoul) reported

@kitelikegirlx maybe they can help.. the domain is from namecheap

  • AllanBogh Allan Bogh (@AllanBogh) reported

@Namecheap decided to make their firewall block an IP for 2 or more incorrect IMAP logins. This blocks the whole IP from accessing a website on NC or getting email. When my screen is locked it seems to send a blank username and pw. Another chat with support. #securitytheater

  • TiersInRain Probably drinking coffee. (@TiersInRain) reported

good article which mentions 2 options for alt. email, one being running your own email server, the other using secure hosted email. there is a 3rd option in between the 2 and that is hosted email on your own domain name, a service some domain registrars like Namecheap provide

  • NameCheapCEO Richard Kirkendall (@NameCheapCEO) reported

@savolai @Namecheap In any case here, as I mentioned to you earlier; we are sending you an auto-generated temporary password only. It's basically there to allow your first login so you can update your password. After you do that, there will not be any issues with unencrypted passwords.

  • jay_zeke Zeke Polaris (@jay_zeke) reported

@YoboyDaiki @TeamYouTube Yea, a lot of shit been going on, and the root of them all is these 4 websites, Twitter, YT, FB, and namecheap... I tell you in a bit what namecheap did.

  • chadcatlett Chad C (@chadcatlett) reported

@Namecheap any idea when the http 500 errors in your site will go away. Trying to renew an expired domain and can't login..

  • FinSnipe FinSnipe (@FinSnipe) reported

@Namecheap Your abuse team honestly in fact sucks, They refuse to take down domains that has a DoX of someone. Scams are also never cared about.

  • Namecheap Namecheap.com (@Namecheap) reported

@savolai Hi Olli! Helpdesk credentials are required for the Support account only if you decide to contact us via the Live Chat or a ticket using different email address than the one associated with your Namecheap account. Plus, you can check your support history there.

  • savolai Olli Savolainen (@savolai) reported

@Namecheap Not sure if the helpdesk credentials are used for anything. Then there's a separate 'support pin'. All this just to get ssh access to actually get the site installed.

  • savolai Olli Savolainen (@savolai) reported

Trying out @Namecheap hosting. Separate passwords for normal login, for email, for helpdesk, for cpanel... all sent by unencrypted email :D. Please, get your act together.

  • AllanBogh Allan Bogh (@AllanBogh) reported

@NameCheapCEO The Namecheap firewall constantly blocks my IP even though none of my computers have incorrect login information. I've had support reset it multiple times. I'm now working on migrating off of Namecheap. Please shut down this abusive firewall.

  • MixtrixFix Mixtrix (@MixtrixFix) reported

@TheRealAyanaDLT noooooo. I used to but it SUCKS. namecheap is the way to go BY FAR. cheaper and comes with free WHOIS guard (google it if you dont know what that is) and tyty @amberlyrothfield for turning me on to namecheap

  • juxtaposz XANTRONIX ehf (@juxtaposz) reported

@DrScriptt @Sun_Ultra10 @faultywarrior @datashed Originally I had misread that somebody with access to his Namecheap account would need to explicitly accept the donation, rather than the other way around. My bad!

  • K16EInc K16E, Inc. (@K16EInc) reported

You know @Namecheap your customer service is stellar at 10 but it's also like zero because of the Kayako software...what kind of chatting software can't let you share screenshot, I mean it's 2019! It's so annoying, it's stupid!

  • javierrzrd javiër Rz (@javierrzrd) reported

@HostGator what a crappy Portal you have; can't change DNS, can't unlock a domain for transfer and can't change the contact info on a domain. For all that i have to contact support because the site is ALWAYS giving out errors. Glad i'm migrating to Namecheap

  • IceMugger Pawel Kowalczyk (@IceMugger) reported

Tech support scam websites often enjoy the hospitality of GoDaddy, AWS and Namecheap. Hosting providers should take abuse reports seriously, and take the reported websites down. Make your voice heard to fight scammers. cc @Kitboga @ScammerRevolts #listenhosts

  • 1888TechLine 1-888 Tech Line Official (@1888TechLine) reported

@GoDaddy @freenome @Namecheap are just a few examples of domain hosts who fail to remove scam websites when reported. Tech support scams, government cloned websites etc. This has to stop immediately. I expect these companies and many more to respond in a more active way.

  • exusssum Scott Dutton (@exusssum) reported

@Namecheap I did that last time and never heard back seems odd it's listed as the recommended method of 2fa but doesn't seem to work.

  • AdamTuttle Adam Tuttle (@AdamTuttle) reported

@boyzoid Cloudflare for every TLD they support. I still have a few on NameCheap waiting for motivation to outweigh laziness and/or the TLD to be available on Cloudflare. (To be fair, it's been months and maybe they're supported now...)

@sudeep_dk @alex_kaul @Xentagz @Namecheap They don't support segwit, they don't support lightning, they make their users overpay fees...they've attacked bitcoin...what else...I'm sure I'm missing something.

  • JWWeatherman_ JW Weatherman | mathbot.com (@JWWeatherman_) reported

@alex_kaul @Namecheap I think we should keep it positive. But I understand the frustration as they are supporting some very greasy folks even though I’m sure they just wanted to support bitcoin.

  • JWWeatherman_ JW Weatherman | mathbot.com (@JWWeatherman_) reported

@6102bitcoin @BitPay @Namecheap That’s helpful, but I’m willing to bet @Namecheap is more reliable and provides a better service. And they were early bitcoin adopters. We are asking them to be even more charitable to bitcoin, but not so much they lose focus on running a profitable business.

  • Philmod Philippe Modard (@Philmod) reported

@YourFondestLove @GoDaddy It looks like @Namecheap doesn't support ".be" domains unfortunately

  • shekbagg Shekhar Raju (@shekbagg) reported

@namecheap I noticed that I stopped receiving emails(via GSuite) on my domain this morning. Had to urgently call Google and they had to re-flush the MX records from the DNS(Namecheap) into the G Suite system to fix it. Not sure how long it was down and how many emails we lost 😡
