found @namecheap only use USD in their bills and never list currency - AUD = 1.5*USD - always confusing - they won't change - just move to Australian domain registry to avoid high charges of US companies

  • gennyble genny (@gennyble) reported

I'll try and write a short thing about this, but here's how you might be able to fix questions like: - Why won't Namecheap let me set a specific nameserver? - Why can't I set a custom nameserver on my .dev TLDs?

@FuzzySec Hi @Namecheap, there seems to be a phishing service using your infra. Domain: post./office-charges/.com

  • VDukhovni Viktor Dukhovni (@VDukhovni) reported

@agowa338 @Namecheap Move to another provider, NameCheap leaves reported DNS issues unresolved for years... They operate the largest cluster of domains that suffer TLSA lookup failures, and haven't lifted a finger to try and fix it.

  • shankx Shankar AVSB (@shankx) reported

@Namecheap As a 14 yr old Namecheap customer with 100+ domains and 7 hosting accounts , I am sorry to say that Namecheap Hosting customer service is bad, with sudden downtimes by their admin team, with no regard for customer's business. And they don't listen to feedback!

  • scottleffler Scott Leffler (@scottleffler) reported

Hey, @Namecheap ... Your dashboard is kind of terrible and super confusing. Your service is great. But you'd think a website company would have a better website. Things are way too compartmentalized. How about a comprehensive list of everything I pay for and when it's due?

  • UK_Daniel_Card MrR3b00t | walked into a PrintNightmare! (@UK_Daniel_Card) reported

Tackling service abuse must be a bit of a nightmare…. Don’t get me wrong the idea of not doing something doesn’t fly but what I’m watching @Namecheap do from a turn around POV is great! It’s a funny cyber world we have created on 🌍

  • webnkrione NKRI.one (@webnkrione) reported

Namecheap is "only good for domain registration", I thought it was just words, but they have a decent hosting: EasyWP Supersonic. I thought it was, until my website down for 3 days and their Customer Supports and Technicians basically just let me hanging.

  • smsm1 Shaun McDonald 🇪🇺 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@smsm1) reported

@Namecheap I see it's been taken down already. Thanks for the swift response.

  • ScammerRevolts ScammerRevolts (@ScammerRevolts) reported

@Linux_User1 @Namecheap @GoDaddy Godaddy usually chooses to support scammers from the income they provide rather than putting in the very small amount of time it takes to suspend them.

  • MilaChervenkova мιla 🍩 (@MilaChervenkova) reported

@Namecheap so, one of my websites is down for the last 4 hrs. For the last 1 h and 15 mins, your representatives are juggling the chat with me, ppl joining and leaving, and basically, no one is helping. Any tips on how should I proceed with your staff so they can actually help?

  • ed_wade3 Ed Wade (@ed_wade3) reported

@Nikomus I often end up looking between Namecheap, Ionos (formerly 1&1) or Go Daddy - it depends on the offers they have at the time so often depends most on price but they all seem decent in terms of service.

@Namecheap Play by the rules, but be ferocious. And never spend the first dollar while also investing half the profit back into it. #DesertIslandHack

  • FudokiMagazine Fudoki Magazine (@FudokiMagazine) reported

@eldris @Namecheap @NamecheapCEO If you use WordPress, they installed a caching plugin, Litespeed, making the site load quicker. Only, if like Fudoki, you have dynamic content & customisation, or Translatepress, or a frontend login, or a cache already installed (all known cases) chances are it'll break. <Sigh>

  • FudokiMagazine Fudoki Magazine (@FudokiMagazine) reported

@robot_tiger @SueBursztynski Hi, it should be fixed. It was, as I feared, my webhost putting some functionality on to the website, without my permission. Yet another site broken by Litespeed @Namecheap - yes, you've heard from me in multiple hats and I will be looking at moving all my hosting away now.

  • paddyai25 paddy (@paddyai25) reported

Hats-off to @Namecheap support team, I have never seen a better support staff then namecheap. Everyone resolve the issue so quickly and i am always satisfied with the service and I have been on it for many years now. #support

@ArifRusho @Namecheap Only do it if you trust him/her. Any illegal content or spamming can be problem for you. Best of luck.

  • SunilDe Sunil De (@SunilDe) reported

@GoDaddyHelp ... and a full working week later, the DM messages still don't appear to have been read. @Namecheap - considering the experience I've had with your support, you could pitch on that alone with "competitors" like this. I'm not sure @GoDaddy would survive.

  • MekoFox Meko (@MekoFox) reported

@Thumperbun What email delivery problem? Because I have Comcast and use Namecheap's Private Email service for a personal domain and I haven't had any issues.

  • djjester DJ Jester (@djjester) reported

So I have a domain at @Namecheap and they implemented some sort of verification code system recently. The email my account is on is linked to the domain I wanted to log in and redirect b/c the server it went to no longer functions. Their support wouldn't help me.

  • cryptovoicee Cryptovoice (@cryptovoicee) reported

@Namecheap You guys are hosting many crypto scam websites, I have been reporting them for the past 6 months and you have not taken down any of them, this is why they love your servers because they can get away with it.
