@calbertof @Azure Try an Azure App service with continuous webjob it'll probably be cheaper than a full-blown VM

@Azure @MicrosoftLearn I need answer for my question... Btw @PearsonVUE your customer service doesn’t work at all, I’m trying a ticket I CANT find where, chatting also missing... I’m looking to solve this issue and taking the exam asap

  • isaac_abraham Isaac Abraham (@isaac_abraham) reported

Should also mention that Farmer runs directly on top of @azure's #armtemplate technology so you get all the benefits of that included, such as repeatable and idempotent deployments, validation and what-if support.

  • sebi2706 Sébastien Blanc 🇪🇺 🥑 (@sebi2706) reported

@danieldeluca @Azure France Central has capacity issues as well, I had my quota increase request denied for North Europe. I could only get resources in US Southeast.

  • cmeik christopher meiklejohn belmont (@cmeik) reported

@sarahguthals @heathercmiller @bennytheshap @Azure @databricks @Microsoft @shanamatthews last time I was there, the program changed from credits for anybody to credits for only ML research. (this was summer intern 2019) it sucks, my last paper cost me over ~$600 to do a very minor study

  • heathercmiller Heather Miller (@heathercmiller) reported from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

@bennytheshap @sarahguthals @Azure @databricks @Microsoft @shanamatthews All of that is shut down at present AFAIK

  • heathercmiller Heather Miller (@heathercmiller) reported from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

@AzureSupport @Azure @databricks @Microsoft Also interesting: if the university paid for the credits, it seems like we'd have no problem. They're only reneging on students it appears.

  • a_hoverbear Ana (Hoverbear) (@a_hoverbear) reported

@AzureSupport @heathercmiller @Azure @databricks @Microsoft I mean, it would have probably been better to just not respond, SL. It's pretty clear how you could help.

  • EwsLeearck EwsLeearck (@EwsLeearck) reported

@Azure @satyanadella Tip: Rename the azure \ service to "Azure On"

  • mrhestew Heath Stewart (@mrhestew) reported

@clairernovotny @blowdart @vcsjones Never understood why @Azure allocates a single VM per container when other services support shared tenancy. They could have the caveat containers may not be as secure. In this case, I'm surprised #hyperv isolation mode isn't an option for better isolation.

  • sqlmadhadr Adam Chandley (@sqlmadhadr) reported

@AzureSupport @Azure Redeploy was necessary. This "hanging" event only seems to happen when using DAS_V4 VMs. We may switch these to Ds_V3 to escape the problems. While not recurring, this has happened a few times on the AMD SKU now.

  • cimmerian20 cimmerian (@cimmerian20) reported

@googlecloud @awscloud @Azure - @DebianMed not sure if they need any resources but if they do ... I know all you big corps can help.

  • restfulhead Patrick Ruhkopf (@restfulhead) reported

My #azure #functions app stopped working and is now returning 502 errors with HTML, e.g. <h3>[...]When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server [...]</h3>. Dear @Azure, this is not how Serverless works.

  • priyanshu2709 Priyank Rajvanshi (@priyanshu2709) reported

@asksalesforce @Benioff @salesforce @SalesforceDevs I called on toll-free number for technical support however they advised me to call on billing department. I am not sure billing dept cn help as it is related to dev org and it does not have any billing @azure @awscloud

  • CKuenzell Charlotte Künzell (@CKuenzell) reported

@BasvanKaam @BrianMaddenSite @Microsoft @Azure The IPP-based Microsoft Universal Print approach doesn't really fit for enterprises/#WVD (security, too slow by design). If Microsoft would open its interfaces that 3rd party vendors like @ezeep can improve the printing process it would be a real breakthrough for cloud printing🙃

  • AnandSubhash 👨🏽‍💻☕️ (@AnandSubhash) reported

@forbes_india @mukesh_sharma @SanjoeTJ @BinuPaladion @RohitK_Paladion @SubbuDisprz @SGhosh_IN @theravishankar @MicrosoftIndia Our SaaS products, packaged as standard installer (across platforms) and is accessible from anywhere (for authorized personal). Thus physical presence need or specific on-boarding help is minimal. Moreover @Azure data centers are 24x7. So no impact to customer. #AiforAll

  • mfwiniberg Michael Winiberg (@mfwiniberg) reported

@mspartnersuk @Azure Not if you haven't got a fast, reliable broadband connection they don't! Please don't forget those millions of us who do not enjoy Gb internet connections but still have businesses to run (or in my case as a Partner, to support!)

  • BastelsBlog bastelfreak (@BastelsBlog) reported

@iSibnZe @Azure I tried it for some time in the past month and I was never able to get systems. Their cloud seems to be a bit limited in their resources D

  • Atoko_ Pedro Cardona (@Atoko_) reported

@markjbrown @Azure @AzureCosmosDB I wish! I’m waiting for the Terraform provider to support that option. (I’m 100% infra-as-code) The server runs on AKS because I needed some way to practice k8 😅 I could see myself moving to App Services (once I figure out a sensible way to configure App Gateway)

@Azure Why are dns names on public vm interfaces using {region}.cloudapp.{dnsname} when all other Azure Stack Hub services are using service.{region}.{dnsname} that's makes dns conditional forwarding to multiple stacks a mess.. #azurestack

  • AzureTrenches James Randall (@AzureTrenches) reported

@markjbrown @isaac_abraham @Azure @AzureCosmosDB That is some crazy demand. I've not faced any real issues this last week though I've provisioned nothing beyond the trivial - my own comment was from back in the early days, can't remember what was going on at the time.

    @AzureTrenches @isaac_abraham @Azure @AzureCosmosDB “_we_ don’t have a capacity issue, _you_ do” 😂

  • AzureTrenches James Randall (@AzureTrenches) reported

@isaac_abraham @Azure @AzureCosmosDB My favourite support response was related to Azure capacity issues. “We don’t have a capacity issue but we can’t give you any more CPUs”. Or words to that effect. I wished I’d kept it as the way it was phrased was truly Orwellian levels of doublethink.

  • roberts2727 Robert woods (@roberts2727) reported

@Azure I am trying to do some labs this morning and need to know what region I can create resources in under a newly created free account. I don't care where, but the hunting and pecking just to get denied is not working. Please let me know 2 regions to use.

@Azure - Is there an open issue regarding virtual machines as we are not able to select size for the same while creating a new one

  • jgunnink JK (@jgunnink) reported

@Azure, if you're listening you have a (seemingly) great cloud which is let down by your documentation. I applaud that it's open source (noting the GH logos at bottom of page) but its important to have good docs. I look forward to trying out other features of your cloud.

@isaacrlevin @ChristosMatskas @github @AzureFunctions @AzureCosmosDB @Azure @GitTrendsApp Hey Issac! I love the idea. The problem is paying for the cloud storage. The app is free & open-source, and I don't have a revenue stream to cover the cost of saving the user data in Azure.

@MicrosoftHelps @Microsoft Instead of shutting down #Cortana completely, you should open source it and let the world create their own #digitalassistant. Throw in credits for @Azure services and you will still make money off it. It is a win-win for all.

  • TheShadow_999 The Shadow (@TheShadow_999) reported

@BrunTheBear @MSCloud Nope, although that can happen, devs can easily send code that basically says, "Don't charge. You are irrelevant". It all depends on if they still want to support it

  • TheShadow_999 The Shadow (@TheShadow_999) reported

@BrunTheBear @MSCloud But the updates create problems

  • BrunTheBear Brun Brun (@BrunTheBear) reported

@TheShadow_999 @MSCloud Old PCs don't slow down (unless they've taken heat damage).

  • TheShadow_999 The Shadow (@TheShadow_999) reported

@BrunTheBear @MSCloud It's the plan, most companies do this. Outdated PC slows down over time so companies like Microsoft and Apple make big updates on older phones that slow it down even more. This makes you want to pay for a better, more expensive PC. They write good code but not on the old PCs.

  • Stelzi79 Stelzi79 (@Stelzi79) reported

@csharpfritz @julielerman @docsmsft @Azure The only essential difference is that a Cloud Service charges you by compute minutes and/or actual measured metered stuff and generally not by month. Also every service is managed for you which make it generally more expensive if you need that services for longer.

  • Stelzi79 Stelzi79 (@Stelzi79) reported

@csharpfritz @julielerman @docsmsft @Azure I needed some time to even grasp what problems a cloud service is supposed to solve for me. It was from the marketing and documentation materials not clear that a cloud service is (very oversimplified) a place where I can pay for hosting vms, some web services and a fancy portal.

  • Stelzi79 Stelzi79 (@Stelzi79) reported

@csharpfritz @julielerman @docsmsft @Azure The main issue I see with all of the cloud services is that is driven by sales and marketing peoples. All the written docs is more geared to help sales to sell it to decision makers which are most of the times in our industry not the people with extensive developer knowledge. ...
