    I hope this serious outage at @iiNet will be a wake-up call for management to implement a redundant strategy for mail hosting. To blame the hot weather for an outage is shameful on so many levels. Impact of this 24+ hour outage during a pandemic and Christmas holiday is serious.

    So... boxing day sales are on and a number of sites want me to add the discount code from the email. @iinet how do I do that when YOUR email service has been down for more than 24 hours.

    @perthhacks @iiNet WTF a Perth based Co, lacks the ability to anticipate 40plus temps in Perth or to note weather forecasts days in advance. Give it up a& let someone else have a go

    @iiNet .. Approaching 30 hours now since last being able to access email. You’ve been working on the issue for at least 8 hours now……. When is it going to be fixed ??

    @Nemspy @iiNet 30 hours now &no sign of when it will come back. they are not over-reacting. some of us run businesses depending on email. It is a worldwide drama when gmail goes down for 30mins, & a hot day in Perth is not 'extreme weather' assuming their servers aren't running in a garden shed

    We may need save this Xmas Ep for next year due to continuing @iiNet DNS issues. Something about someone forgetting to get the diesel for the back up genny.

    @DemographyOz @mercernany #iinet are trying to pretend it’s an isolated issue but it is widespread, nationwide. Day 3 now of email down @iiNet

    @Nemspy @SinbadthePirat1 @iiNet so? what kind of professional ISP cant handle a few hot days? At worst, you shut down a few services to cool an overheated room but it doesn't explain... THE REST OF THE COUNTRY!

    @AmryanAnnie @iiNet I guess they figured we never get extreme weather events in Oz around Christmas Day 😵‍💫 so nothing would go wrong, so sent everyone home. 🙄🙄🙄

    @iiNet Some huge overreactions in this thread. How often does email go down? This is obviously an extraordinary occurrence. I can wait.
