@iiNet Thanks for the update John. However, given that I believe this has happened before, it sounds like it's high time to update the aircon/generators/insulation etc on this particular data centre (or even move to a new data centre?). Any hardware issues?

You know what isn't going to fix the @iinet outage? Abusing the people running their social media. #iiNet

@iiNet @radford1975 and nobody actually believes your story. what weather even brings down an ENTIRE NETWORK across the entire country for 24 hours with zero explanation? even now, you've offered no actual information even on your twitter account. Does no one there have a mobile phone to update it?

@iiNet @iinet Oh, and even though email is down, perhaps you could recommend an alternate SMTP provider to use in the short term. This would be v useful for people to able to at least SEND an email to friends/clients stating the situation and maybe even providing g an alternate email.

@iiNet @AEBayley Find it pretty hard to see how 43 is extreme in WA. Lived there for years, regularly 42, 43. We kept our mainframe running during cyclone Alby FFS, most of Perth was without power. It's called having backup systems, power, network etc etc.
