@belindasmilne @pauldutton1968 @iiNet We have now heard back from the NBN. There are no plans to roll it out here. There is a satellite service available that is the NBN SkyMuster. Sigh. We are now investigating that.

@belindasmilne @iiNet I’m sick of receiving the same response when clearly something is wrong otherwise why would we need to continually ring for assistance. Professional service should be able to work out a hands on response would need to occur.

@iiNet We have tried everything. We are bereft. One week with no landline, no gig left and no mobile cover. It really is torture. Oh, and iinet calling us, asking what can we do? Give us more data, we beg. Sorry we can't help you you say. It's dangerous to be home alone here. 😭😭

@belindasmilne @pauldutton1968 @iiNet They recently tried to take our 'spare' non electronic phone when servicing our line, I had to tell them that I need it for when the power goes out. It's sooooooooo bad.

@iiNet Oh God, again? And same information exchange? And same advice? Look at my history - it’s a mile long. Second last time it went down, when I was on deadline, it went down for five effing days .... 😠😠😠

@pauldutton1968 @iiNet I blasted them on social media, it was the only way to get them to give me a call from the local technicians rather than the clueless overseas support staff.

@pauldutton1968 @iiNet I hear you. They ended up sending out two technicians before the problem was fixed. The first one could only fix “inside” problems so they had to get another one from Telstra The best part was them telling me I didn’t need to be home for the 2nd call out. Silly me believed them

@belindasmilne @pauldutton1968 @iiNet In our case, with the power out, the dish doesn't work and we have no mobile cover, but our old phone still does work. We don't have NBN in our area. We're on the road to nowhere.

@MMareeslatter @pauldutton1968 @iiNet If the power goes out and NBN router goes down, your old phone won’t work either unless you have a battery back up. Best to have a mobile phone on standby for emergencies
