@TradesDemon @IGcom Basic membership is £9.99 a month and you get £7.99 credit back every month which valid for 3 months. Commission is £7.99 for share dealings. But if you pay £19.99 a month you still get £7..99 back and commission goes down 3.99 for UK & 4.99 for USA. SIPP is the same.

@IGcom IG - Why does banning the buying of Gamestop and AMC shares prioritise the service you give to your clients ?. All you're trying to do is protect the shorters. I will seriously consider closing my account if you can't explain, and hope others do also.

@IGcom I can certainly see the point, the responsibility for stability of the platform as a whole is much more important than the restriction of two equities. Its likely your systems detected the traffic flow as a DDOS attack and started rejecting any other api calls made to it.

@afneil do you care about UK retail investors getting screwed? Today IG has done a @RobinhoodApp and without warning shut down its customers from trading in $AMC and $GME stocks. Only option left for some customers is to sell at a loss. @IGClientHelp

@GLOATofGOAT @ImpotentSnark @IGcom Majority of my trading is RV, RSI and 9 EMA based. But if they are able to buy and sell AMC and GME I will have a look. Just seen 212 is not allowing in new customers at the moment. I have stock in both GME and AMC with IG luckily I own it so no liquidity issues.

@ftweekend you ran a story today about wallstreet bets. Today IG has done a @RobinhoodApp and shut down its customers from trading in $AMC and $GME stocks. Only option left for some customers is to sell at a loss. Anybody know a willing UK Class-action lawyer? @IGClientHelp
