@HBOMaxHelp I wait A MONTH. Same problem. I get back in touch. I tell them no matter what device it is, I get the error. I’m asked to do a bunch more steps that have no hope of fixing the problem. Change browsers, clear cookies, sign in/sign out/try again.

@HBOMaxHelp I contact support and I’m sent through some troubleshooting steps to try to solve but obviously have no hope of fixing the problem. Reboot my router? Sure… Finally I’m told my email has an active subscription. When it ends next month all will be fixed. Just wait. I waited. NOPE

@hbomax you app on Roku is complete garbage! I can’t even use it and it takes 15 minutes to log in just for it to crash. This app performs like it’s 2002. Yes I’ve reached out for help and no one is solving my problem

Case in point: @HBOMaxHelp I’ve been having an error linking my HBO Max and YouTube TV (where I pay for HBO) accounts. Everything goes fine till I get to the point I have to verify the email address with a code. I enter the code and “Something went wrong”…

Hey @HBOMaxHelp, the @hbomax app on @roku just keeps getting worse & worse. It just crashed on me five times trying to play a single episode of Sesame Street. I’d say it works maaaaybe 30% of the time during the day, slightly better at night. Is anything being done to fix this?

@bmart517 @AlyssaM_InfoSec @hbomax Yeah, my wife noticed that. If you force quit the app from the child profile and start it again, no PIN required to access the adult profiles. Luckily our children are too young to know how to use the remote yet, but this’ll be an issue for us before long.

@hbomax @Roku I just signed up for hbomax. Do you guys realize your app on Roku sucks? I can open netflix or amazon in 2 seconds and the hbo max app takes over a minute. Go forbid I hit pause because then it bombs out. Fix this, please

@FrankMcG @AlyssaM_InfoSec @hbomax You get a like for pointing out Amazon’s totally broken handling of multiple seasons. But HBO is still pretty mediocre (the app, not the content, to be fair) IMO. So slow and buggy on my Samsung smart TV.

@AlyssaM_InfoSec @hbomax God I feel this. My HiSense Android tv has the app installed and I swear HBO Mac has some kind of memory leak because if I turn the tv off to stand by mode when I turn it back on my tv barely functions. @hbomax fix this!!!

@HBOMaxHelp No error message. The episode will start playing, then freeze or go black, then play for a few seconds without sound, then freeze again, then kick me out to the Roku home page. It’s not a network issue, I can immediately switch to Netflix/Prime/other competitors & they work fine.
