I have issues with the new HBO Max. I have 1080p-capable projector and home theatre setup with 5.1 audio (no Atmos). I'm using the Playstation 4 HBO Max app. Why does the 1080p image quality look so poor and why are there no 5.1 sound at all? @HBOMaxNordic @HBOMaxHelp

@HBOMaxHelp @sammynickalls most recently (Sunday) on the Samsung it will stop on a show and repeat like a 2 second portion several times. happened multiple times then get an error message saying app can’t play and have to restart/try again. noticed more during shows vs movies

@hbomax Is the absolute worst piece of garbage app you can put on a TV. If you're lucky enough to get it to work, it is glitchy and will quit playing randomly. Hasnt even opened in 3 days. Should get a pro-rata since its not a useable format.

@HBOMaxHelp I’ve tried all these. bandaid solutions but the site itself is a fully open wound, everyone knows this. HBO Go had the exact same problems. weird to launch a “new” platform to be competitive among streaming services but just copy and paste from a 10 year old flawed product
