the content on @hbomax is great but the subtitles are awful. I watch w/subs to help with audio processing and the subs are often incorrect or just won’t show up at all for a whole sentence. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be for people who are actually deaf or HOH

@HBOMaxHelp I don’t know what you did to the Apple TV app but fast forwarding or rewinding is almost impossible. It just keeps rolling and rolling and never stops. Fix it please this update is terrible. First the Mare of Easttown finale debacle, now this.

@scbennett @HBOMaxHelp I think they changed it for the ad supported version so that the new progress bar can be highlighted to indicate ad sections… but if only the scrubbing would behave fine then I wouldn’t be too mad about it, but the Siri remote functionalities don’t work now

@HBOMaxHelp I could not recommend this app to anyone. Most broken, inattentive app ever made. These companies take all your money and don’t even provide refunds for the service you didn’t get. Canceling HBO max for a 3rd and final time. Joke service.

@HBOMaxHelp whatever you’ve done to your Apple TV app can you undo it? You’ve taken a mediocre app and somehow made it awful. The inshow controls are useless now. Also your parental controls have always sucked and still do. Check out Netflix app if you want some tips. @hbomax

The @hbomax app on Apple TV seems to have had a terrible update. Closed captioning switches to Spanish every time you restart it. I have no idea how to control playback anymore. The standard click left and right doesn’t work anymore. And if you pause and try to scrub with

@hbomax @HBO the library is good but the user experience is below average. I can’t watch #Gomorrah with the crappy English overdub. Subtitles don’t work a lot of times, an episode ends and won’t automatically go to the next one. Please fix this stuff. #HBOMax #HBO

@HBOMaxHelp third day of AppleTV trouble with your app. All software updated. I tried the sign out/sign in. Didn’t work. I deleted and re downloaded and it worked for half a day, but crashing again. Tried all the fixes posted.
