  • josundq josund (@josundq) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

    @WandererAnnie @RBReich @IrritatedAuntie ****, they’ve only gone and gifted Foxtel a lazy 10 million today

  • Canceratops Sevan Costanza (@Canceratops) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@VitoCDoria @vhatelse @beINSPORTS_AUS @SerieA_EN @Foxtel I hope these disputes mean that Serie A rights are bought by @OptusSport. To just do a blackout by @beINSPORTS_AUS is ridiculous

  • LordNPrior Nicholas Prior (@LordNPrior) reported from Maitland, State of New South Wales

@TheCurbAU Because I use my parents Foxtel login

  • MichaelJohnsen6 Michael With Two Y’s (@MichaelJohnsen6) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

Sick that @Foxtel are still charging full price even though a whole section of their service (sports package) isn’t playing what we all bought the package for. I don’t really expect much else from a company that puts ads on pay tv

  • _Blessing B L E S S I N G (@_Blessing) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@sydney263 @Foxtel Not bad. Should be better but I am not complaining too much.

  • fat_lenny Lenny (@fat_lenny) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@gjblue @samidowd @Foxtel Cancelled mine over 12 months ago. Customer of 15 years, all they cared about was getting their 15 year old box back. Glad to be gone

  • gjblue Greg Blue (@gjblue) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@sandylanceley @abcnews Agree streaming will be OK but foxtel has given up on customer service, I stopped ours last week and they couldn't have given a hoot, not concerned at all to loose an 18 year customer

  • gjblue Greg Blue (@gjblue) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@samidowd @Foxtel Did the same myself last week, amazing response from their customer service team

  • Willlowtree4 William Low (@Willlowtree4) reported from Raymond Terrace, State of New South Wales

I don’t know who’s decision it was to no longer air @FallonTonight out here in Australia. Whether it was just @Foxtel or @jimmyfallon himself but whoever it was please fix this. #bringbackfallon

  • ajhill_alan Alan Hill (@ajhill_alan) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@perthovalman @kevinperry @TheWorldGame @SBS @ALeague @premierleague @Craig_Foster @LucyZelic A cash-strapped FTA network does its best but has no hope of competing with Foxtel (itself scaling back football coverage in the face of its own financial woes) and Optus. I'd blame the government before pointing a finger at SBS.

  • hecivan70 Ivan Hecimovic (@hecivan70) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@BrettGriffo I'm actually still with Foxtel (only just, on a basic + sports plan) but people have been saying for years they don't want to be paying for crap they don't watch. Worked when they had a monopoly on PayTv but the landscape has changed in recent years and they are paying the price.

  • hecivan70 Ivan Hecimovic (@hecivan70) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Elia_Santoro I'm gobsmacked that people cannot draw the distinction between the fact that withdrawing support from a major partner (Foxtel) of the A-League in massive numbers was not going to have significant ramifications for the A-League🙄 Had this argument with some people 12 months ago.

  • nickintheworld Nick Williams (@nickintheworld) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@FOXTEL_Help IQ3 box has a fault, booked for next week. Cannot stream Foxtel via chrome cast because the icon isn’t appearing in the app. Was told my account would be able to use multiroom by 11am... still no success. Contacted tech support hour ago, they said they’d call back at 130... Nada

  • nickintheworld Nick Williams (@nickintheworld) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Foxtel No I wasn’t. After two hours on the phone to account services & tech support I should be able to watch it if I can get the chrome cast on my tv to work, which it currently isn’t.

  • rightleftgreg Greg King (@rightleftgreg) reported

@simleo @MadFckingWitch Lol. Foxtel called me all excited with a subscription deal $49 how does that sound ? I said “sounds ****, call me back when it’s 10”

  • BobSlydell81 Witchfinder General (@BobSlydell81) reported

@BrianMitchellMP Anyone with any intelligence knew that fibre was the best option. The problem was that ‘fibre to the node’ was a threat to Foxtel and thereafter Murdoch’s minions (in the media and LNP govt) did their duty for the dark lord.

  • PeterWi05879624 Peter Williams (@PeterWi05879624) reported

@deniseshrivell Don't worry now that Rupert's FoxTel is moving to internet delivery mechanisms he'll probably instruct the government to fix the NBN.

  • hayden_marsh96 Hayden Marsh (@hayden_marsh96) reported

@2degreesmobile I'm currently getting some pretty severe latency issues to some Australian ISP's. Telstra (Sydney) to name one. ~145ms ping vs ~46ms ping to Foxtel (Sydney). Not just me too, other friends on 2D are also having these issues.

  • whiskybic ALEX JOEL (@whiskybic) reported

@DanielBleakley @AlboMP @Foxtel I'd argue it's not even done much to help Foxtel in the long run, so the damage was essentially done for nothing - scuttling infrastructure for no gain. IMO biggest things that prop up Foxtel's subscriber base are sports and exclusive content like their HBO catalogue.

  • ChrisRoss32 Chris Ross (@ChrisRoss32) reported

@MRowlandMP @Bowenchris What a surprise! Australia punished again by our "leaders", all so Rupert Murdoch could sell his copper Foxtel cable service to the NBN. Any network engineer worth their salt would design a solution with as few options as possible - consistency is key!

  • DanielBleakley Daniel Bleakley (@DanielBleakley) reported

@AlboMP Worked our well for #Murdoch! His @Foxtel network benefits massively from Australia having a 3rd rate #NBN. Too bad for every single Australian citizen though.

  • BenjaminKingAus Benjamin King (@BenjaminKingAus) reported

@FOXTEL_Help Hey they buggered up my Bill again and now I'm waiting over 1 hour for a message in your text message support? Any chance someone could call me?

  • GHellbitches 🅶🅾🆃🅾 🅷🅴🅻🅻🅱🅸🆃🅲🅷🅴🆂 (@GHellbitches) reported

@MRowlandMP @MifWhy Completely about keeping foxtel afloat to cancel Fibre to the home.

  • virgotweet Stuart Tomlinson (@virgotweet) reported

@Vic_Rollison @McClureRodney from their news papers and other media by the Australian public. The decline in support for their News Media/Papers and foxtel is the beginning of the end for the Murdoch empire, and they only have themselves to blame
