Biscuitman (@biscuitman007) reported@Hugh_96 @balumbah I agree, as there's no accountability in RA. You can fail and fail again, and no transparency. My view is that 3 years after the RWC, when the money runs out, Foxtel will buy rugby for peanuts. Only then will it get fixed.

Sandy Lanceley (@sandylanceley) reported@Tuxy81 @Raiders_24Sep89 Youβre both kinda correct - if no FTA network bids, then the rights can go exclusively to Pay TV - but in this instance we know a FTA network has made a bid, so Foxtel/DAZN are compelled to find a FTA partner

Scott Patten (@Mehyouthink) reported@footyindustryAU I reckon stays at kayo/foxtel. Look what happened to A-League and Rugby when they left. You never see them on pub tvs anymore. I mean the deal for that might not be worth it but for eyes on product?

ClayChucky (@claychuckyclay) reportedGiven how much we pay for @Foxtel it would nice to see more flexibility like the US version. Why dont we have incar camera choice, maps, timing screens? Why do we get the bog standard international feed with crap biased Sky commentary? Upgrade please or give us @Apple @F1

M.\tt π‘π’ (@CosmicMatt92) reported@Bingbongbo10475 @telegraph_sport The TV ratings have been neck and neck for FTA/VOZ audience figures. Both AFL and NRL hovering around 500-650k. AFL has beaten the NRL multiple times this season including last night which was AFL 655k and NRL 544k. It's always going to change though depending on the games that are on and general interest in those teams. In the stands, its 37,623 AFL and 21, 676 NRL for average attendance. That's 73% higher. For last season in particular, AFL had a Seven FTA average of 630k, and roughly 300k for Kayo/Foxtel NRL had a Nine FTA average of 570k and around 430k for Kayo/Foxtel. So no, it's not night and day between "every domestic sport combined" its barely midday and 1pm between NRL and AFL, and night and day between AFL and NRL when it comes to people actually getting off their arses and going to support their team. I don't watch either sport, but the facts are there in black and white.

Jason robert (@JasonR69737) reported@SoundingBoardEp @DrinkWiseAus Would the AFL be secretly hoping that Foxtel retain the broadcast rights to the NRL given that it's foreign ownership would have to consider the network's future if it lost the NRL?
-
S B (@Conigman) reported@footyindustryAU Can i ask a stupid question? Why did Dazn need to buy Foxtel? Why couldnt they just save there cash and bid for the rights of the NRL, AFL when it comes up etc? I mean Foxtel (Fox Sports) are worth nothing without the rights in the first place?

Alex Carter (@abbacarter) reportedHas PVL sent instructions to Annesley to ensure the Broncos are still in the comp? Part of the rights deal with DZN / Foxtel or what? Downright embarrassing officiating. Off night from Cleary though, his kicking game was poor #NRLPanthersBroncos #PanthersvBroncos
