@jindivik @Martin_Sanna @LeGrandeWee @Waveline2shore Let’s face it. Money is not really a problem for #NewsCorpse. Dark Lord Murdoch just gives Scott Morrison a call and voila! A cash top up at Australia’s expense. That’s how it happens for Foxtel

    Phoenix Diamond (@_phoenix_btc) reported

@TopherField I have a conspiratorial hypothesis that may interest you regarding NBN The backbone of the Australian military communications at home was a rotting copper wire network and needed to be replaced, but pitching the Australian public on spending billions on military getting a communications upgrade was a hard sell So instead the two majors went at each other on two different versions of the same dumb idea, fiber to the premises vs fiber to the node Now we have ****** fiber optics speeds because it's being speed capped with software, and ironically NBN is the same old HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) technology that Foxtel had installed for years 🫠

  • Theretributor
    Alice Stewart 🦂 (@Theretributor) reported

@Ryandally08 Tony Abbott was made leader by his old mate Rupert Murdoch in order to put a very slow third rate internet system into Australia so it would not render his Foxtel by satellite service as being useless. Rupert has since sold Foxtel.

  • SniffRocks
    Rock Sniffer (@SniffRocks) reported

@Raiders_24Sep89 We need Foxtel not to own it kayo is garbage & will cost $500 a year soon for a tax payer subsidised sport. Channel 7 & 9 split coverage, ad free games on stan or similar

  • Manbearpigzebra
    Mike Oxbig (@Manbearpigzebra) reported

I wish. The watered down version of World Movies has just as many English speaking films as it does foreign films. The should give it back to Foxtel and allow R rated movies again.

  • trobb158
    T158 (@trobb158) reported

@ColettaFrank @Gatty54 Foxtel are flooding their ‘crap’ programs with the cringeworthy ads for the circus at the White House, calling it the greatest sports event in history.

  • scrumblebum1

  • vkrsek
    💧Vratislav Krsek (@vkrsek) reported

@StanSportAU we don’t want advertising during live sport. That’s the deal I signed up to. Now you’ve changed the deal. I’m a Premium continuous customer paying $42 pm. Just like I cancelled #foxtel I will cancel you. #9entertainment

  • realglenappleby
    Glen Appleby (@realglenappleby) reported

@SnoogThe Like all these events that “just happen”, if you’re at the ground listening to sports ear of the ref it’s normal after repeated warnings from the ref. Atkins lets things go for a couple times and then says something like “you’re on your last warning”, and then you get these “weird” decisions. I don’t like it - but it doesn’t shock me like it once did. If the NRL were serious about transparency, everyone should be able to receive a ref mic commentary on Kayo instead of the garbage we normally are subjected to recently. Foxtel had this in the mid 2000’s with just crowd mic sounds and the ref. It was great because it felt like you were at the ground.
