  • channelclem Clem Hall 🧢 (@channelclem) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

so I’m trying out my “one” free week trial (other markets I know have had a free month) of @paramountplus … on first look, I think Australia’s licensing is so fragmented that the true potential is not coming through… I’ve cut out Foxtel and Netflix now… so I’ll see in 7 days.

  • ACMilanSydney The AC Milan-Godfather (@ACMilanSydney) reported

@MyMortalMusings @Foxtel I would prefer to pay for the service and get a steady broadcast. But if no provider, everyone will go back to the old days of illegal streams. I don’t blame the fans, if that’s the only means of watching a game.

  • alancramer Alan Cramer (@alancramer) reported from Adelaide, State of South Australia

@ParamountPlusAU where are the live channels for MTV and Nick? You own the content and only relegate this content to Foxtel and Fetch. Plus no Network 10 tile in the app

  • ItsJacobage Jacob (@ItsJacobage) reported

Thanks for cancelling my service @Foxtel

  • MorrisonTwat Munterson Inc. (@MorrisonTwat) reported

@tchbastard Murdoch had the LNP hold us back to slow the uptake of streaming services, making more people use Foxtel

  • dani_alyce dani smell ⚓ (@dani_alyce) reported

@Foxtel now was not a good time to cancel my subscription due to being poor 😥😥

  • blahblahellis Scott Ellis™️ (@blahblahellis) reported

@MediaweekAUS I rang Foxtel recently to say I was concerned over my spend and looking for options, the “helpline” basically agreed I should probably cancel. But did I need broadband?

  • SubParLover SubParLover (@SubParLover) reported

Australian's in 2015: "$70?! Foxtel is a bloody rip off!" Australian's in 2021: *maxes out 3rd credit card to pay for your 14th streaming service*

  • ACMilanSydney The AC Milan-Godfather (@ACMilanSydney) reported

@MyMortalMusings @Foxtel That was the issue last year, I guess now they have to buy from @DAZN. Just had a look about tv rights on Wiki, most countries around Europe show the name of a provider for Serie A, for all other countries listed as TBC.

  • MyMortalMusings Anthony Manca (@MyMortalMusings) reported

@ACMilanSydney @Foxtel You’re probably right. Unless it’s that piracy issue which beIN are still annoyed about. They negotiated a reduction in Serie A’s cost for broadcasting rights last season, they’re probably doing the same.
