    @DocWSJames That's about the size of it. Self-deprecation by proxy is just insulting someone else isn't it? I doubt Emilia Clarke is that bothered. She's having a pretty stellar career in very different roles. But it means Foxtel has an issue with cheap insults off air as well as on.

    CEO of Foxtel Australia calling Emilia Clarke a "short and dumpy girl". Um what?! I can appreciate poor attempts at humour or being misunderstood but I still have a hard time accepting those excuses. Joke or otherwise, just don't comment on women's bodies.

    @Iron_Spike I also remember people trying to watch Game of Thrones. We couldn't get HBO accounts, you could only watch it thru Foxtel, which was $$$. People paid third party sites for HBO accounts; they wanted to pay for it. Foxtel cracked down, thinking ppl would pay them. Nah. Piracy.

    How are you going to say, “a show about a dumpy girl walking into fire”, and then issue an apology by saying, “The Foxtel Group apologises if his remarks were misunderstood and caused any offence”. If? IF? Nothing was misunderstood, you said what you said.
