@RealDLHughley These corporate apologies are the worst. “On behalf of Mr Delany, the Foxtel Group apologies if his remarks were misunderstood and caused any offence.”

When the highlight of your day is correcting the spelling of yet another incompetent Foxtel employee in the online chat, you’ve got problems.

@elaine84916319 Actually it's on Foxtel. That's what peeves us off more. I don't watch the Lamestream/Mainstream Media because it's full of the same crap.

@Joey13251 @Colleen18521230 @PRGuy17 i was part of the 1900 employees made redundant in the complete disassembly of foxtel. some 300 remain. it took 3 years and never earned any scrutiny or media attention. covid sped the process up even while global lockdowns left os call centres abandoned

“On behalf of Mr. Delany, the Foxtel Group apologizes if his remarks were misunderstood and caused any offense.” IF??? WTF? He publically insults a woman, one well-beloved, and assumes everyone would laugh? He needs a new line of work, one where he never speaks to the public.

@DocWSJames That's about the size of it. Self-deprecation by proxy is just insulting someone else isn't it? I doubt Emilia Clarke is that bothered. She's having a pretty stellar career in very different roles. But it means Foxtel has an issue with cheap insults off air as well as on.

@Variety And the apology from @Foxtel was pretty poor as well “…apologies if his remarks were misunderstood” not apologies that our CEO is a misogynistic old prick. Just apologies if you didn’t understand his ****** attempt at humour. #patrickdelany #GameOfThrones
