😡 @CNN why have you given Rupert Murdoch’s Foxtel exclusive rights to CNN in Australia. We used to be able to get CNN on competitor Fetch TV but no more. I will never give Rupert one cent of my money so no CNN for me & a lot of other Australian’s. #ACCC #MurdochRoyalCommission

@FreoPunter @TraceySmallwoo5 @Foxtel Oh no doubt, and is probably not a bad development. I've never paid for Foxtel, but then I'm not particularly well off so it was never really on option

@BigOtrivia ARL won the battle SL or Murdoch won the war. Foxtel thrived Optus Vision died but were able 2 establish themselves as 2nd biggest telco In Aus. Was never about RL was about pay TV & Telecommunications. Set RL back by 20 yrs, AFL became national RL still East Coast sport.

@Idpreferyoudead Had me worried that I'd imagined it for a second there but yeah, just checked. Parent company is Foxtel. I tried a few of their apps when my ex got us a Foxtel subscription with her phone plan, and they were all awful.

@Foxtel It's crap how Foxtel offer these deals to new customers but stick with them for 10 years and you get nothing

  • Tweetn2You Blue»Tweety«Bird (@Tweetn2You) reported

@theage @acccgovau Ever since Federal Government said every premise needed to have access to landline phone &/or offered an alternative method by telcos to call in emergencies: Telstra have milked it for what It's worth & stopped selling Standalone Internet Plans to also help them bundle Foxtel etc

  • PeteWil52408518 Pete Williams (@PeteWil52408518) reported

@BigOtrivia Ribot truly believed in vision of SL. News Corp didn’t want 2 run RL they just wanted 2 get RL exclusive 4 Foxtel 2 help sell subscription. Ribot truly believed but u can c here the penny dropped that News just used him! Hate what Murdoch did 2 RL & ppl who sold their souls 2 SL
