  • unenergy
💧🍺🍩B Digby Bamford🍩🍺 (@unenergy) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@adamajacoby They've never had to. Look up postmaster general. Free delivery for their papers. Then Howard gave Rupert monopoly access to Telstra for Foxtel. Maggie gave him control of BSkyB. Ronnie helped him buy Fox on the cheap. Taxpayers were Murdoch's Venture Capitalists.

  • harrypotter1994
Andrew (@harrypotter1994) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Would be nice if Foxtel could show the doubles finals. Seven never show the women’s #wimbledon19

  • tonytau101
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@FetchStep @davidbewart @MichaelWestBiz Ummh it's actually the other way around. Telstra sold down its interest in Foxtel to 35%. News Corp now own 65% of the business. What's telling is that Telstra has a huge bucket of money & they're not stumping up any for Foxtel. TI #Redink

  • KristySed
Kristy Sedlarczuk (@KristySed) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@sistalma @Foxtel I think after the AFL wraps up this year, I will cut it back or cancel. $119 a month for platinum & they are offering new customers at half price. I reckon of have had Foxtel for 13 years or more. Not worth it any more.

  • jabbrwcky
Chris Beattie (@jabbrwcky) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@colingregg @theronster Same down under. Of course nobody has an automatic right to content but Foxtel has a monopoly on GoT and it’s exorbitantly expensive. I bet that’s why Straya is #1 for dodgy downloads!

  • BigV2011WCE
Victor Yong (@BigV2011WCE) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Super League-style breakaway top-flight football comp with promotion and relegation. Matches shown on Foxtel and a commercial TV network. Completely independent from the FFA

@ROBUNS @Channel9 @wwos There was some talk about that, but I haven’t seen confirmation. A big problem though is there’s limited space to broadcast a higher bitrate which Foxtel producing it couldn’t fix.

  • Reggiejets
    Rhino79 (@Reggiejets) reported

@SteveMolk @WSWanderingEels Take the lot Stan/Ch9. Lifelong Foxtel subscriber, I’ll cancel subscription for Stan sports Rugby League & EPL

  • LeonOnTheRadio

@MrBlairHughes @LeagueUnlimited @kayosports That wasn't a Kayo issue that one, it happened on my Foxtel as well.

  • PeterD84508
    Peter Dewar (@PeterD84508) reported

@timritchie It was failed PM John Howard that sold off Telstra to the tax payers that already owned it. A disgraceful act when we also needed to upgrade to the optic fibre network at the same time. The LNP / Foxtel version of the NBN was another disgraceful failure ....

  • Dorizzdt
Scott (Human) - 𐌃𐌏ᖇ𐌉乙乙𐌃𐌕 (@Dorizzdt) reported

**** this, I'm going out today to spend $3k on a media setup. I'm going back to just pirating TV/Movies. It's not because I am not willing to pay, its I am tired of paying subscription services and having everything so fragmented and being Nickel and Dimed by the services. When we worked on HD Streaming in the 2000's we set the foundation up for the industry to make video possible more easier. Even back then convincing Hollywood / TV Networks to abandon physical media for streaming was a huge undertaking in itself. They just were ******* in contracts with the creators of content and couldn't find a way to make online work. Fast forward 20 years later and this is the **** we end up with. It literally is just easier to pirate than its to keep doing this. atm I pay for: HBO Max Stan FoxTel Primewire Paramount Netflix Disney+ BritTv (i forgot to cancel the trial fml) AppleTV+ Its about $160 a month AUD I can't find half the **** i want to watch and the stuff that I want to watch is full of ads, or you have to then pay extra ontop. I'm out. stfu ... I'ma use AI to setup a complete end to end media experience.

  • doublepiked

Foxtel hasn't got a single nrl or afl replay available from this week. What a useless piece of **** this service is.

  • H_the_Strange
    H_the_Strange (@H_the_Strange) reported

@bimmyjartel @FOXTEL_Help That’s it, isn’t it? They have no competition so they don’t care how they treat people. Like Australia Post. They don’t have competition, so they don’t care.

  • jformaldehydem
    James Milton (@jformaldehydem) reported

@mary_hail20316 @KirstiMiller30 So pirate it then. Binge and Foxtel are both Murdoch properties. **** Murdoch!
