Because I'm quite sure that people will follow the NRL to Stan or whichever other streaming service the coverage may end up at instead, just as there was a kind of exodus from Optus to Foxtel about 25 years ago.

PVO (@vanOnselenP) reportedI watch almost zero free-to-air tv these days, but had to watch 9 NRL tonight bc my Foxtel was down. It’s almost unwatchable compared to Foxtel. The call was good enough, but the commentary was mind numbing. Despite the pedigree of those doing it. Surprisingly bad!

Or a married with children channel ? A frasier/cheers channel ? So many better options than that absolutely stupid show having its own channel
