Must say the @FOXTEL_Help service is atrocious- reduced hours in the call centre then ring first thing this morning and it’s a 2 hour wait. Live chat wait just as bad.

Staggy (@staggy33) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

So, @Foxtel want us to upgrade to the iq5 box. It uses an internet connection not a satellite. If my internet is down i don't get foxtel... also no #freetoairchannels, they want us to pay for a antenna to be installed.... nah we will just cancel #foxtel i think.

  • timsaidthis
Timothy Wright (@timsaidthis) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@kayosports_help Please do. To be real, 720p hasn’t been HD since about 2009. On a 4K TV, it looks really poor. For those of us that’ve been used to real HD lockdown Netflix, this is inferior. Given Foxtel has 4K channels & streaming, it seems a pretty cynical move to not have it through Kayo.

  • staggy33
Staggy (@staggy33) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Adelaiderocker @Foxtel They reckon we use a cable service here (ends in 2023). So now if we want FTA i have to stuff around & install more cables.. lovely.

Hi @FOXTEL_Help - just got a message you have planned work tomorrow between 8am and 3pm. On Melbourne Cup day? Too bad if we want to watch any races that aren’t on free to air. Every day, making the decision to cancel a lot easier.

I KNOW YOU CAN, but these are all the 1%coach killers that are the difference between winning/losing. #BeBetter #NSW

@clarke3110 @bondiroosters Yep, Kayo is just the revamped Foxtel rip off. The AFL and NRL have let down the supporters, won’t be long until the attendance to games drops because the general lack of interest is.

AUSTRLIAN FOXTEL DOWN CANT WATCH THE SHOW WHAT ******** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • johnnyddavidson
    John Davidson (@johnnyddavidson) reported

Reported in The Courier-Mail today: The NRL’s plan to save Super League could be on the brink of collapse in what would be a devastating blow for the English game. The ARLC has been investigating a Super League rescue package for the past year, but it’s understood UK broadcaster Sky Sports is reluctant to come to the party with a palatable deal to satisfy the NRL’s investment strategy. There are suggestions DAZN, which now owns Foxtel, could support a Super League rescue package after former NRL CEO Andrew Abdo travelled to the UK in April for Super League buyout talks. The Super League could be in trouble. Picture: Alex Livesey/Getty Images But V’landys says the Super League deal could hit a deadend. That would be a potentially fatal blow for an ailing English game which is drowning in debt. Super League giants St Helens lost $6.5m alone last year. “Look, we’re trying to make the figures work at the moment, but unless the figures work, we won’t do it,” he said. “We’re having trouble making the figures work, that’s the truth of it. “I don’t know what will happen. I find it very tough (to proceed with a purchase). “We need to talk further with Super League. We haven’t put a proposal into them yet. “We understand the importance of the international game, so we’re not giving up.”
