The lightning strike yesterday that took down my power and NBN temporarily also destroyed the HDMI port of one of my Foxtel iq boxes. Composite video (oh god how did we live with that in the past?) shows the box is working fine, just the HDMI out is dead.

Weirdly I can watch free to air channels through foxtel but not cable channels. WTF? No outages in my area btw. Sigh.

@PeterCronau @slpng_giants_oz I don’t have Netflix, Foxtel, Amazon Prime, Paramount+. I’m on the aged pension & my Internet is portable WiFi & it’s **** for any of the above, but I can’t afford anything else. I can watch the ABC though!

@FOXTEL_Help want to suspend my account… obviously this can be done online but I can’t seem to find it?? I can see how to add packages but not cancel or suspend? #foxtel #Suspension #cancel

I’m old enough to remember when @FOXTEL_Help was ad free and they had decent movies included in the package. Still paying thru the nose for over priced foxtel. Now you get ads, crap movies and on top of that, you have to pay for movies.

@Foxtel Finally ordered an IQ5, also found out my IQ2 needs to be upgraded next month, never received the notice about that. According to your customer service, loss of signal from cloud cover can be fix by sending a technician. No wonder I get frustrated.

@SeigeCeej @vronwe @mushka_mushk Thanks.! I have Amazon… I was conned into it and keep meaning to cancel it but I’ll check if it’s on there. Otherwise MIL will be getting a call for the foxtel password! Much easier than other years! 😬

@Foxtel I spent 2 hours yesterday speaking to 6 people and a dog with your customer service and technical support. Simple question, can I get an iq3 upgrade for cable?
