Nah, it's the whales buying out the entire battle pass and shop, it's the low self control dudes scooping cosmetics day one. That's what keeps a live service alive.

@DestinyTheGame I get why people are so anti-preorder now. Content we’ve paid for should be ready or in a near-ready state. A four month delay is diabolical for a live service mmo. This isn’t good enough. Sorry, but it’s not. It’s not even a good look for Marathon. 🫠

@lolgisticalOfc @ScottWayne4 @DestinyTheGame The entire game needs to be refreshed, not just legendary weapons. Entire subclasses, characters, progression systems, playlists all need to go and be reset. We cannot be held back by the same problems for the 10th year straight.

@DestinyTheGame Broken parts of the game wait for weeks for them to fix. Broken store or glitches that benefit players fixed immediately. They don't care about the players never have.

@DestinyTheGame Man, Edge of Fate really was a disaster and ruined the game huh. I’m glad I saw the writing on the wall and stopped playing D2 all together after the 3rd episode. All expansions will still have the same problems as long as they stay using this new foundation they built in EoF.

@AboveTP @DestinyTheGame I havent played in about a year at this point and feel the same. I like the game but I dont like how the company treats its player base. Just a never ending stream of issues every week and every update. While marathon isnt solely to blame its development hurt destiny a lot.

@DestinyTheGame Genuinely love the dungeons and raids, would play strike content to get there or seasonal stuff... huge issue is when you are doing all the in-between stuff. The running around these POIs and taking to 7 people to progress the story. Drop the Story content, do not time gate it. Then have prepared updates to already made content, Old Raids dropping new guns, gear etc, Have a week where a full titan set drops from a full raid clear or something.. This would bring people back to play content. Cut down on Currencies, this game has way too many, Make 1-3 special things and Glimmer the king or something. There needs to be a MASSIVE de-clutter of what you are dealing with so the focus is on gear and guns. Then there could be tough to get Armor Sets or Ornaments for in-game things. Love ya and miss playing. Marathon Day 1 right here cant wait but i loved Raids and Dungeons so much - I wish I was still doing them.

@jadex_the @N_ticx @DestinyTheGame I think the difference is people hearing destiny 3 is coming will bring old players back to try it. The issue is Bungie, not the IP. People who played d2 and stopped, might come back for d3 to try. Doesn't mean Bungie will do good though. They're basically done and Sony is coming

@DestinyTheGame The issue is that you half-assed so many of the systems in last years expansions. If there was any commitment, most of the system changes listed above would have been present in Renegades (tiered gear and exotics specifically). There really must be a skeleton crew working on D2.

@DestinyTheGame Your selling points for a 4 month delay being QOL updates is deeply concerning. Just call it quits at this point and move on to marathon. Just let it be known that extraction shooters do not retain players like a live service MMO does and never will.

@B3Tr0ller @hardrive377 @DestinyTheGame Being mad at a studio for making more than one game is entirely different than being mad at a studio miss managing and constantly fumbling the ******* ball with the first game. Make multiple live service games sure, but if they can barely keep one functioning when its been in the same state its been in for the last 3 years, then the hope of Marathon succeeding is slim.

@DestinyTheGame As pvp is one of the most played gamemodes in Destiny that helps the game feel replayable, it is really sad to still have no mention of how or what could be coming to fix the playlist. It not even being mentioned in this post as a general concern is in itself concerning. 😕
