The biggest problem with little I know about Marathon is it's technically a sequel (soft reboot?) Of a 30+ year old game and feels like it expects new players to just understand it right away.

Players need to support the 'Dying Game' before it is fully gone

It’s impossible to get it done solo unless you have a cracked broken build or is a top 0.1% player with how punishing they are. And I talk as someone who did a solo flawless one with the most broken Hunter build back in the days.

" Hey, remember how many things were poorly thought out at release? We've fixed them!" I launched the game again. It asked me to buy the expansion or be stuck with the same awful game it was at release. "We fixed it, now pay us again to access the fixes." I never logged in again. You suck, and so does your stupid game.

Brent (@i_am_echel0n) reported@DestinyTheGame This had to happen. My advice is as follows. Most of the changes you've made in Destiny 2 are missteps that need to be corrected. Destiny 1's formula is Coca Cola Classic. D2 in New Coke. Keep the subclasses, transmog and mantling. Everything else can go. No live service bullshit. Go back to the OG subclass trees where tradeoffs existed. Get back to the guns being the focus with true variety. Update your enemy AI and make it dynamic for the love of God. Eververse should not be the focal point for revenue put cool **** in the game to earn that drives engagement. The loop of the game ie the crux of everything is get cool gun from PVE then go into PVP and have fun with it. PVP cannot be an afterthought it's the main hook. Give PVP dedicated servers, I repeat GIVE PVP DEDICATED SERVERS. Make guns grindable to unlock perks sets. The Witness was a mistake retcon it and keep the engagement between the Winnower and the Gardener and this time populate the damn pyramid ships with a new race. Yes that means starting back from the ending of D1 but this time do it right. Treat D2 like a fever dream like Mario 2 and let's pretend it never happened. Call the next game "DESTINY" and never diverge again. Build new things. Do not lean on recycling content outside of things that have to be there for Destiny to be Destiny. Ignore this advice at your own peril.

But the entire customer service design and ban system was fundamentally flawed. They had no escalation process that worked. People would buy expansions, not even have it provision properly and then escalate on the forums and get trolled relentlessly. People got auto banned for using steam decks. When you are lazy people quit your **** product. Even if its a pretty pile of ****.
