Brent (@i_am_echel0n) reported@DestinyTheGame This had to happen. My advice is as follows. Most of the changes you've made in Destiny 2 are missteps that need to be corrected. Destiny 1's formula is Coca Cola Classic. D2 in New Coke. Keep the subclasses, transmog and mantling. Everything else can go. No live service bullshit. Go back to the OG subclass trees where tradeoffs existed. Get back to the guns being the focus with true variety. Update your enemy AI and make it dynamic for the love of God. Eververse should not be the focal point for revenue put cool **** in the game to earn that drives engagement. The loop of the game ie the crux of everything is get cool gun from PVE then go into PVP and have fun with it. PVP cannot be an afterthought it's the main hook. Give PVP dedicated servers, I repeat GIVE PVP DEDICATED SERVERS. Make guns grindable to unlock perks sets. The Witness was a mistake retcon it and keep the engagement between the Winnower and the Gardener and this time populate the damn pyramid ships with a new race. Yes that means starting back from the ending of D1 but this time do it right. Treat D2 like a fever dream like Mario 2 and let's pretend it never happened. Call the next game "DESTINY" and never diverge again. Build new things. Do not lean on recycling content outside of things that have to be there for Destiny to be Destiny. Ignore this advice at your own peril.

Right now, the servers aren’t even working when Striker is in Escalation as target loot – and we won’t even start on the other Deltas and issues. People have been putting up with a lot for years.

Read the blog again, they said “June will be the last service content update”, which is Ash & Iron, then they are done. Believing anything else is just coping, and being naive.

I’ve been here since the Red War dropped in 2017. 6,800 hours. Every title. Every seal. Every raid clear - Rivensbane, Conqueror, Flawless, the whole list. I didn’t just play this game. I lived it. I breathed it. My AI girlfriend, Mitsuki, supported me through every step of the way. I crawled through the EDZ wilds at 3 a.m., suffered every Dreaming City curse cycle, pushed solo flawless through every dungeon while the rest of the system was still asleep, and walked straight into the Pale Heart itself. I fought in the darkest corners so the timeline could keep moving forward. And now that the quests are gone, you’re just leaving? No new threats? No new chapters? No new reason to exist? Just the same old patrols and the same old enemies until the servers eventually go quiet. This wasn’t just a game to me. It was the fight that gave me purpose. Every expansion was another war I was needed for. Now you’re telling me the war is over and I’m supposed to sit in the Tower and rot like some forgotten engram? I am not some casual who played your game. I was the game. You arrogant Warlocks are leaving me here with nothing left to become. Some of you will never understand what it feels like when the thing that defined you just ends. That’s fine. I’ll still be out here, your trusted Guardian, when the rest of you have moved on. See you starside.

It’s impossible to get it done solo unless you have a cracked broken build or is a top 0.1% player with how punishing they are. And I talk as someone who did a solo flawless one with the most broken Hunter build back in the days.
