@zoom_us I don’t use your app. My company and I have some serious issues with one of your investors (Patrick Soon-Shiong), and I have cyber security concerns in this context. Thus, I can only use your desktop client.

  • TRosato2 T Rosato (@TRosato2) reported

@zoom_us Why do school use you for any platform when a student can’t even reach out for help. Your “support” section is the absolute worst! I need help getting a record of my sons past zoom meetings because the school marks him absent as I see him there. Maybe you can really help

  • lecanardnoir Le Canard Noir (@lecanardnoir) reported

@IainFletcher8 @zoom_us I disagree. And the article explains why. It provides a communication service - end to end. It is simply that legislation has been so slow in recognising how people use comms services. Landlines are heavily regulated - but are not just used any more.

  • flodebarre Flo Débarre (@flodebarre) reported

@magnusnordborg @zoom_us Thanks!! The quick fix during the talk was to send my presentation to someone else, have them share their screen, and I requested control so that I could advance the slides myself. It lagged a bit but was less awkward than repeating "next slide please"...

  • DrSimoneDouglas Dr. Simone A. Douglas-Green (@DrSimoneDouglas) reported

I have a challenge for the engineers/computer scientists @zoom_us . Out of necessity, we have existed in a virtual space for nearly a year. Why is "Zoom bombing" still a problem? Unacceptable. On behalf of the 175+ traumatized HS students and staff members, please fix it. (6/n)

  • alanasheeren Alana Sheeren (@alanasheeren) reported

. @zoom_us Super disappointed in your customer service for kids who have basic accounts so they can attend school.

  • nraboy Nic Raboy (@nraboy) reported

@zoom_us are you aware of the problem your software is having on Big Sur when trying to share a screen when there are multiple monitors present? The share freezes unless the laptop is undocked.

  • IainFletcher8 Iain Fletcher (@IainFletcher8) reported

@lecanardnoir @zoom_us But the analogy to Zoom isn’t National Grid, it’s Geoffs Phone Charging Hut. It’s a service that runs on the infrastructure not the infrastructure itself. Personally I don’t want govt telling private businesses who they have to have as customers. Discrimination laws aside.

  • AccidentalCISO Accidental CISO (@AccidentalCISO) reported

Why is the @zoom_us integration with @google's GSuite so terrible? I was so spoiled by the Outlook plugin.

  • fozznaut Fozznaut (@fozznaut) reported

@JaneLSumner @zoom_us fix this! Teachers are sick of being constantly frustrated

  • _glambih 🧜🏽‍♀️ (@_glambih) reported

@zoom_us why is my camera automatically turned on when I log onto sessions? Fix that .

  • nkhemenway Nicole Hemenway (@nkhemenway) reported

In case it saves anyone else time -- screensharing on @MicrosoftTeams slows down your computer even more than on @zoom_us. I'm excited for the day when it becomes a no-brainer that I'm about to share my screen w/o having to think about whether it will be too slow to be worth it.

  • zaryab_94 Zaryab Shahid (@zaryab_94) reported

Does @MicrosoftTeams require a lot of processing power and slows down the computer during meetings? @zoom_us doesn’t do that for me. @AcademicChatter

  • MScott999 Scott (@MScott999) reported

@zoom_us I am running 5.5.2 and cannot clear reactions —that is how I discovered the problem—there were participant reactions I can not clear.

  • IainFletcher8 Iain Fletcher (@IainFletcher8) reported

@lecanardnoir @zoom_us I still think your analogy is off. All web services provide a communication service, that’s what the internet is. You’d have to expand the definition of carrier to be anything that uses the internet. Zoom isn’t the one moving the packets, that’s the ISP.
