  A day off Twitch is a good message but for me I need to stream today. I just had to call 911 for my mom who has been experiencing COPD for 3-4 years. and it keeps getting worst. Hate raids are awful but beyond the internet we all suffer in our own ways.

  @Frazleytastic The whole movement is about discrimination, and the idea that taking a day off streaming will help anybody at all is ridiculous. The conversation needs to keep happening, and it's bigger than twitch moderation, it's a societal issue. Treat the illness, not the symptoms.

  @aDrive_tK @Twitch Please tell me how you streaming actually actively helped the issue and wasn't just preaching to the choir. Just talking about what's happening isn't enough. Today was supposed to be a day of collective action to tell TWITCH-- not your viewerbase-- in a way that impacts them.

  @Julia_CaSsian Problems starts when those streamers start also attacking other streamers for not joining(and promoting them) and we end up in a situation where monkeys are throwing poop(hate) at each other, while the zookeepers(twitch) just snack on their popcorn and count the cash.

  @SamuelzJay the problem is, if you're strictly sticking to streaming, twitch is simply the better platform. it has way more features in regards to chat and user interaction, stream layouts and especially moderation. Moderating on YouTube livestreams is a pain and twitch makes it a lot easier

  @BfromROC Twitch is the worst platform in the world for exposure. Literally there's nothing worse. If you want YT exposure, just stream here and upload there. I've already seen small results in just a few weeks. And on top of that, YT money off uploads is better if done right.

  @WhatIfUniverse @BriggsADA_ Have no qualms with any given approach to taking a day off or not, know that that’s not necessarily a guaranteed way to help, nor a viable option for many people. Twas just tossing out that I’m not gonna get on Twitch today. Gonna read manga + hang in discord instead.
