@dlauer @RobinhoodApp Hold on Dave. That is NOT what this says. It is saying they eschewed price improvement compared to competitors, which is much more about the AMOUNT of PFOF. Responsible retail platforms that provide better prices while collecting PFOF & disclosing both are not at issue.

@ltabb @RobinhoodApp What is the context of this statement? For a 100 share order, you would need to receive a fill at least $0.06 worse than using a broker charging a $6 commission. Now some high dollar names may have spreads that support 6¢ of PI. But not that many.

@ENVDani @RobinhoodApp Agree 100%, could be challenging for advisors to overcome the BeFi aspect of it. Recency biased on market performance could produce unrealistic future expectations...but that’s why you hire an advisor...to help overcome the biases!

@ENVDani @RobinhoodApp I tend to agree and think the most help is going to be needed around tax filings. “Back in my day” cost basis reporting was more cumbersome, but I was still unprepared for the additional tax forms and the increase in tax filing fees from turbo tax because of them!

Not shocked to see the #SEC bust @RobinhoodApp for repeated misstatements that failed to disclose receipt of payments from trading firms for routing customer orders to them and failing to satisfy its duty to seek the best reasonably available terms to execute customer orders.
