Really irritating as it’s our main telly source in the front room.

Made to look like Jim's mother "Betty" and grandma "Dear".

She will be in a locked mental facility regardless, probably for many, many years. No psychiatrist is going to sign off to release her anytime soon and then be held responsible if she kills again. I’m confused why people are acting like she could get off “Scot free.” What am I missing?

Back before we decided that teens had to be treated as children and can't assume as much responsibility because we have now come to believe, for whatever reason, thqt even helping around the house is exploitation and traumatic, we didn't used to have this problem. People like to blame millennials for acting so childish into our 30s, but 1. Who raised us? 2. Many of us are still responsible while simply enjoying what we couldn't as children, yet we get lumped in with the very irresponsible ones like the Disney adults.

Everywhere you go, servers, bartenders and restaurant owners are saying the same thing. Sales reps are practically begging for orders because restaurants just aren’t buying like they used to. And it’s not just restaurants. Comcast reported slower attendance at Universal Orlando theme parks this summer. Disney is showing signs of softer demand too. On August 30, 2026, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom broke its multi-year sellout streak. For the first time since 2022, a scheduled Halloween party night didn’t sell out, with same-day tickets still available. That tells you something. When the biggest theme parks are seeing softer demand, the restaurants, hotels, bars and businesses that depend on tourism are going to feel it too. Meanwhile, costs keep climbing. Rent keeps going up. Labor is expensive. Food costs are still high. Some restaurants are cutting back on quality, buying cheaper ingredients and charging the same prices just to protect their margins. And we continue to see restaurants closing, owners walking away, or simply choosing not to renew when their lease is up. You can only squeeze a business so much before something gives. Something has to change.
