We will look back and see this as a pivotal year where VR changed course for the better. #Cyberpunk2077 #VR "Many of you have noticed that two of my recent posts disappeared about a week ago. I apologize that I could not comment personally about the fact, because there was an ongoing legal exchange. Now that the dust has settled, I'm even more sorry to announce that we are leaving behind an adventure that so many of you deeply loved and enjoyed. CD PROJEKT S.A. decided that they would follow in Take-Two Interactive Software's steps and issued a DMCA notice against me for the removal of the Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod. At least they were a little more open about it, and I could get a reply both from their legal department and from the VP of business development. But in the end it amounted to the same iron-clad corpo logic: every little action that a company takes is in the name of money, but everything that modders do must be absolutely for free. As usual they stretch the concept of "derivative work" until it's paper-thin, as though a system that allows visualizing 40+ games in fully immersive 3D VR was somehow built making use of their intellectual property. And as usual they give absolutely zero f***s about how playing their game in VR made people happy, and they cannot just be grateful about the extra copies of the title they sold because of that—without ever having to pour money into producing an official conversion (no, they're not planning to release their own VR port, in case you were wondering). The bottom line is all that matters, and gamers be damned. Am I a little bitter about all of this? Yeah, you bet I am. Especially in the same week when Meta pulls the plug on three major VR studios. Especially after four years during which I (together with other modders) spent so much time keeping our mods alive in spite of CDPR's constant breaking updates. Especially when they never even knew or cared during all this time that the VR conversion was there, and are only knee-jerk reacting now because somebody reported to them that it existed and it was not free. What really irks me is the duplicity with which the corpo mind thinks and reacts. —"Are you considering an official VR port of your game?" —"HAHAHA, you must be delusional, why would we spend our precious money building something only because gamers yearn for it, when there's no clear return on investment". —"Are you allowing developers to be at least supported financially while they do the work you refuse to do?" —"ABSOLUTELY NOT, we are okay with it if they give all their time and expertise for free, but it's downright shameful for them to ask for money". Anyway. Dear Cyberpunk 2077: I've got one less problem without ya."

  @ModdedQuad this is a great question and ive thought about this a lot on and off before especially after cyberpunk2077 was released :) i just want to post now while this question is fresh cause theres probably so many more issues i cant foresee. my main issue is once it can write to your brain or read thoughts with extreme accuracy its gonna be dangerous if its not secure with a 0 trust model. like companies or anything with access would literally be able to do malicious stuff. it will have to be open source and verifiable without a trust aspect. and thats just a bare minimum to even think about getting started on such an endeavor. there will likely always be risks but being alive itself is a risk so once the risk becomes small enough or acceptable enough it will prolly go mainstream and be amazing :) great question Noland

  Am I in the wrong for never trusting a Yong Yea review ever again? I liked cyberpunk2077 even when it came out broken. But Yong straight up lied. Just as a heads up I consider leaving out info or downplaying it also lying. If it wasn’t lying it was incredibly unethical. I’ve never been able to watch a review since without immediately being suspicious.

  @CyberpunkGame My only problem with Panam is that the Aldacado’s ending isn’t as exciting as the others. Once you get into Arasaka you just sneak around for like 1 minute beginning getting to Adam Smasher.

  @CyberpunkGame Mods or no mods, I am crashing on the map and inventory screens, sometimes quick switching weapons even causes it. Only with this new update. Tried my PC, Laptop and Steam Deck, same issues. There a fix upcoming? Seems to be a fair few people with issues.

  My switch 2 has got to go into repair as it won’t charge and I’m so glad I’m paying insurance on it. 🫣🫣 No @CyberpunkGame until I have it back from the insurance company. It’s been a terrible day with computer issues, waking up late and I legit just want to cry. Sorry for the crap content tonight. 😭

  I didn't know there was a Iguana egg in Cyberpunk 2077! I glitch my way to Konpeki Plaza to rescue the egg! The building is all closed and empty, on the roof and exploring out of bounds is kinda creepy... #Cyberpunk2077

  @davepl1968 no, it's a trust issue at this point. Windows has become the equalent to the stoves/refrigerators in Cyberpunk2077 that require the user to watch an ad to use the appliance.

  @CyberpunkGame Especially since you can tell almost any npc to f*ck off any other time in the game. And since this has been an issue since day 1 of the game. Our character is dying, we need a cure. We should be able to say no, or drop quests from Overly pushy fixers and have it mean something.

  @CyberpunkGame None. Absolutely every character we meet from Act 2 onwards is ungrateful. As soon as V had problems in the Arasaka ending, everyone rejected him. But even worse, nobody gives a damn about him in the DLC ending after he falls into a coma several times, including Panam...

  @CyberpunkGame @RockstarGames As much as I love your game… we still haven’t forgotten how it was so broken and unplayable on release PlayStation had to pull your game from the PSN store entirely and issue refunds.. those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

  @CyberpunkGame @WingedHorrorz Hey guys! I know your focus is entirely on the PS5 version, but couldn't you at least fix the PS4 version so we don't get punished with a surprise crash while playing? I started this game 2 days ago on PS4 Pro. It looks so good, but these crashes are a real turn-off...

  @IAlaoui88416 @Inferno_s_s The game runs litterly runs worse than Cyberpunk2077, and some modern aaa titles. What are you talking about? Just because u and some few others dont face any problems doesnt mean the game is optimized, plus not everyone has a spare 3k$ to get a new pc.
