  @spiritchihiro MacBook Pro a few months ago. Told myself I’m walking out of the Apple Store tomorrow, with a working MacBook Pro (mine was broken and I had no money to get it fixed or buy a new one). Couldn’t be fixed. So my Mum just said there and then I’ll buy you a new one, and she did?

  @Escargot4U @0x_Mattt The GME e-commerce issue was with regulation. Remember Gary Gendler was in charge at the time and heavy issues with the Apple Store. He was smart to scrub it back then. I think you’ll like Ryan. This guy picks up the phone and calls customers personally all the time.

  One time my friend complained about his laptop not working, said he was about to go out to the Apple Store and buy a replacement. I fixed it by deleting about 100gb of hidden Garmin files

  @MAGA_X_Times @udreams30 Yep. THAT’S the scam I expected from these ‘gift cards’. No accountability. No recourse. Just a chorus of “not our responsibility” and the theft of your cash. The scam is that thieves take many cards from the store’s rack to their ‘shop’… and carefully open them to steal the alphanumeric code inside. Then, they carefully put the ‘package’ back together, replace them on the store’s display rack and, wait for someone to load money on the card. Then they immediately load that balance into THEIR ‘account’ using the stolen code. Started with Apple Store cards then spread to all of them. There is NO SECURITY on these things. Whoever uses the code first… gets the cash. Merchants couldn’t care less. They get the money no matter what. So, there is ZERO motivation for them to fix the problem as addressing it would necessarily require them to ADMIT there IS a problem. So… the whole gift card thing is a scam from every angle. Unless you can purchase the card DIRECTLY at the actual merchant and verify the balance before leaving the store, your ‘gift’ will likely disappear before the recipient can use it. Even with these precautions, the cards cannot be left where just anyone can access them. They should be dispensed by a managerial type. It’s the only way.

  @HOUSEPORN___ This is how I almost fell down the stairs at the Apple Store downtown in Union Square out here in San Francisco because why are the stairs made of glass see-through tell this day I’m still super cautious of going up and down

  @woocassh Man Claude’s security is a pain. Security always comes at the cost of UX, but I think they pushed that one a bit too far. Codex seems to just ask less questions and get it done. I’m literally just about to go out to the Apple Store to buy a big fat juicy MacBook. But maybe I should just rent a server instead 😵‍💫

  @VicVijayakumar You still have to pay full price for the replacement until the broken iPhone is shipped back. I think it’s more economical to go to an Apple Store and pay $99 for a swap.

  @Apple I’ve been having problems with my AirPods4 since I bought them. They keep losing connection all the time. I’ve been to the Apple Store several times, but unfortunately the issue is still there
