NBN Issues Reports Near Causeway, Australian Capital Territory

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Causeway and nearby locations:

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@StevensAsh @DavidSo24895212 Yes Labor did say $41b to build their gold plated NBN. Of course they never built it so we don't know how much it really would have cost. The LNP version was cheaper yet has cost a lot more. I'm certain if Labor had built their version it would have been over $100B.

  • TravGee1980 Travis (@TravGee1980) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

.@HankJongen @Telstra uses this technology. I have made 19 calls to them since August 2018 about reconnecting our work landline and cancelling #NBN They have a record of 3. This is not about improving customer service. It's about compliance & surveillance. #Auspol #Satanlink

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@delpjm @sando88 @Snow_Crash @WirelessDuck @NickRossTech @NickITGuy @Kynes3 @boyter @playswithf1re @BrowntownBrew And the lower density and further reach requirements for Australia is the REASON to use last mile deep fibre networks. If I had a dollar everytime I had to defend that stupid excuse ...#nbn

  • Ctl_Alt_Del CtlAltDel (@Ctl_Alt_Del) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    Crap NBN #PromiseOfAustralia

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Guarantee #NBN have the latency and packet loss data on its microwave links. They have it @AUSenator . It's basic Network management

  • AlexDunnin alex dunnin (@AlexDunnin) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@DendyCanberra big problems with the movie system tonite. It’s like they’re streaming it thru a dodgy NBN connection and the buffering is on dial-up. So bad they’ve just rebooted the system. Extraordinary.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hey @Kynes3 - your notification announcement time and customer service is better than @NBN_Australia - posted 48 mins ago

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NBN_Australia @naomi_t_81 Honestly after you add up all the work required to retrofit the last 1000m of old Telstra phone cabling and fixing issues with customer cabling it becomes much more expensive than the original project scope of fibre to 93% without the constant maintenance bill #nbn

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    @jakegriffiths @NBN_Australia @SenatorFifield @MRowlandMP @AUSenator Only three weeks ago you say - consistency is pretty bad from @NBN_Australia #NotSurprised #ausvotes

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

HFC is a black hole - you can't model a national communications network off what a commerical entity has done overseas #nbn There objective is to keep it above water.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@DonWestley1 @TheCalebBond @theMickMorris @SkyNewsAust @Foxtel Yep, you will probably find I have tweeted that video a few times already ;) It must be tricky to do a story for SkyNews on the #NBN without loosing you job by blaming the Libs - words were carefully chosen to make the entire NBN concept look bad...it's not, obviously.

  • Mirandaprorsus Allan Behm (@Mirandaprorsus) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Have endured weeks of very slow NBN speed, < 6 Mbps. The techo came, opened the Telstra pit to find 60 yr old copper encased in lead, and broken wires. So much for Tinkering Turnbull’s fibre to the node.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

How can #NBN claim its own last mile design doco for Fttx is CiC (CommercialInConfidence).Half of it has been leaked already & who else is going to build out a national network in Australia 🤔 Playing hard ball with FOI constantly, need a big stick. @NBN_Australia @OAICgov

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Quote from @NBN_Australia" One of the challenges nbn has identified are premises that are located too far away from existing nbn™ network assets- Fibre to the Node Cabinet (typically where copper lines exceed 1.3km)" Talk about a no #nbn shit statement

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Poor capacity management at the #nbn drop in tent at #CanberraShow by @NBN_Australia - already out of #StressBalls Totally devo 🤣😂😂😂 Not surprised that NBN keeps on disappointing

  • DesignLindsay Christian Lindsay (@DesignLindsay) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NBN_Australia I rely on the internet for my design business The lack of reliable service puts my income and ability to service customers at risk I'd appreciate a plan to fix the issue. One obvious step is to relocate to a closer pit

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@czuio @NBN_Australia @Deborah_ONeill I could see no reason why it couldn't for exactly the point you make. You could also simplify it and include a UNI-V like port for a voice service (VoDSL) and a simple diagnostic page to indicate line sync etc. @NBN_Australia need to consolidate the end point to simplify it

  • drdavebond David Bond (@drdavebond) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@RodericChambers I think they must have the #NBN here, the network is somewhat slow

  • TheGrumpyGamer1 The Grumpy Gamer (@TheGrumpyGamer1) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

I cannot wait till our NBN connection goes live!!! Hopefully only a few more weeks of this crap. And if anyone wants to share this with The Signal Co, go nuts, cause apparently I’m a rude and difficult to deal with, so they’ve blocked me on Twitter!

  • trib Stephen Collins (@trib) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@paulestorey @NBN_Australia I'll be on FTTC, so I'm hopeful. Congestion shouldn't be an issue.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Bonobeau2 Bonobeau (@Bonobeau2) reported

@StrayDog67 I have hybrid fibre-coax, and its been fine (other than connection issues, retailer at fault). I think prices charged by NBN to retailers are excessive. Most ppl are now paying >2x what ADSL cost, and a sizeable fraction aren't using it in a way that represents value for money.

  • HowardLacy6 Howard Lacy (@HowardLacy6) reported

@MikeCarlton01 Everyone in our area is going mobile broadband as it is now cost effective with download speeds up to 200mbps - the NBN is a disaster with poor speed & outages frequently due to the old copper as you say - what a waste of money the half baked plan was

  • Bruh11432599 Bruh (@Bruh11432599) reported

@WazzaGc @AintLeft The NBN was 2-3 billion by memory. We'll make a fair bit of it back (more jobs = more revenue). Also, currently, broadband here is very slow by global standards. No harm making it competitive.

  • GeorgeL737 George Langley (@GeorgeL737) reported

@VickiPlatt5 Jane Norman whoever she is doesn’t have a clue. The Libs called the NBN an extravagant waste of money. Turnbull promised he would deliver more for less. The result is an underperforming national network that’s ended up costing almost as much as Labor’s original 93% FTTP plan.

  • toe_Cutter4 Paul M (@toe_Cutter4) reported

@TonyHWindsor @peters_malcolm Abbott thought the NBN was for downloading movies.. I bet he never even knew how to send an e-mail at the time..

  • ireneis68700941 Irene Isabel (@ireneis68700941) reported

@PaulFletcherMP My NBN is service is less reliable than the service I had had for the previous 15 years. Slightly faster uploads is all I have gotten for the extra $, multiple equipment faults and multiple outages.

  • h00key Archie Pelago 🇦🇺🇫🇮🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈🐯🏐 (@h00key) reported

@NickSchwanck Ah, the hobbled, cut-down ‘economy’ NBN delivered by Turnbull & co under ‘no vision’ Abbott with no old copper instead of 100% fibre?

  • richardbone Richard Bone (@richardbone) reported

@JohnLavis1 @send2mc @AlboMP No it doesn't. I get 160Mbps, unlimited data for $80/month on 5G. That's way cheaper than any similar NBN service.

  • JordanRenouf J//R (@JordanRenouf) reported

@PaulFletcherMP We didn’t have a NBN plan when they were in government…their plan was fibre to the home for all. You’ve delivered a mostly copper network full of frailty and failure. Also for a government addicted to debt I wouldn’t worry about how to pay for things…maybe stop the rorts?

  • Airstrip_0ne Actually Karen 🌹🍀🕯️🐀 (@Airstrip_0ne) reported

@AngelComrade haha serves him right lying toad gutting the NBN was one of the worst shambles Abbott inflicted on us and I still blame Malcolm Turnbull for not standing up to it
