NBN Issues Reports Near Scarborough, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Scarborough and nearby locations:

  • midii Ken Moore (@midii) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@jendudley Say goodbye to that. We went from 100mbps cable to 2-3mbps adsl to 50mbps nbn and paid the same for each service. Extra for the adsl cause had to tether to my mobile to actually use the internet.

  • VMCByrne Veronica Byrne (@VMCByrne) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm we don’t need you to tell us the “news”, we all have access to current affairs...alas not via NBN - which happens to be a very expensive piece of crap.

  • selmainthecity SelmaTraceySergent (@selmainthecity) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

What a joke. My NBN is always down. Morrison is so out of touch.

  • TurnbullDavidR David Turnbull (@TurnbullDavidR) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Update. Only partially installed. Seems NBN didn’t connect from outside our development into the development. Delayed until March. Dreadful service and shoddy Project Mgt. Also had to pay additional $16000 for cabling!!. @NBN_Australia #nbn

  • ChrisRobbo01 Chris Robertson (@ChrisRobbo01) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So pre NBN no drop outs at all. Post NBN ever bloody day. WTF. @Telstra sort your shit out.

  • theorangepeach Adam (aka trash panda) (@theorangepeach) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mrgnarchr When they can build 5G, sell ‘unlimited’ at the same price as over NBN, but difference is they keep all the $$$ (and don’t have to pay a stupid cut to NBN), why wouldn’t to push it as an alternative that they actually make money from. NBN really ****** things

  • midii Ken Moore (@midii) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@jendudley Poor progress is the last place I lived. Brand new building. Cable terminates in power pole outside the building. No phone lines available for adsl. They managed to free up 4-5 lines for 40+ units. 2 years later still no cable or nbn despite building next door having it.

  • Angry_AB_ AB (@Angry_AB_) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia Well.. all NBN have done since November is waste my time.. apparently im not important enough to speak to any manager in your “customer service team” (that’s what Angie from that team told me anyway..). I’ll DM you anyway.. should be fun..

  • Failingtorevers AnT (@Failingtorevers) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

My house got forced to switch to NBN and FFS the Internet cuts out every 20 mins and we are at half the ******* download speed What the actual **** have you done , do you know how frustrating this is

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@jendudley @Telstra I am a mega geek too. I generally notice bad network performance. I really hate buffering in particular. My wife complained about the NBN being slow the other day, then realised she wasn't on Wi-Fi and it was actually the Telstra 4G service having issues.

  • vijayarumugam Vijay Arumugam (@vijayarumugam) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hi Optus @Optus - Your NBN seems to be down in 2146 for the last 30 minutes or so. #optusoutage #optus #nbnoutage

  • theorangepeach Adam (aka trash panda) (@theorangepeach) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mrgnarchr Meh, if the govt wasn’t hellbent on trying to make a profit out of the NBN and actually run it as a utility, we probably wouldn’t see 5G being pushed so hard (stupid NBN CVC pricing)

  • triedtostayaway Andrew (@triedtostayaway) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@superloopnet is there an nbn outage in Carlingford my nbn dropped out, ive rebooted my router several time without luck

  • bfgleb PaulieB (@bfgleb) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I'm on my third day + of 0.20-0.25 mbps on my NBN at home - lodged an online complaint and tried contacting by online chat. Can someone please get in touch in the am.

  • arafattehsin Arafat Tehsin (@arafattehsin) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I am super surprised to experience the quality of broadband in (or around) Sydney -- it still gets disconnected at least 5 times a week. @NBN_Australia and @TPG_Telecom, I'd highly recommend you both to get a better management because it sucks and it really does.

  • AndNowItsTime Michael Bassett (@AndNowItsTime) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TheMisterEpic1 TheMisterEpic (@TheMisterEpic1) reported

You guys want to know how bad Australian Internet is? We are FORCED to upgrade to NBN with @Telstra and pay $110 for the same internet speed we have now (we were paying $100). But guess what, if you are a NEW CUSTOMER you only have to pay $90. Great treatment of loyal customers!

  • vRiifty vRifty (@vRiifty) reported

@TheMisterEpic1 @Telstra NBN isn’t in my area, down and upload speeds are 200-500kb/s @Telstra is garbage

  • D_Keating Merry Keat-mas! (@D_Keating) reported

So after over three weeks, one missed NBN Appointment and one kept NBN appointment, one new port and removal of stability profiles, we finally have stable, fast(ish) FTTN.

  • briannasbell Brianna Bell ♿️ (@briannasbell) reported

Online uni has been extremely good for me for the most part, but apparently the NBN told TPG to shut down my wifi because my home doesn’t exist or something (despite all internet bills being paid), so it will be interesting to see how my mock trial assessment goes tomorrow...

  • itis_michelle Shell 🌼💚 (@itis_michelle) reported

Hey @Telstra... My nbn keeps dropping out ALL DAY and the modem is not kicking over to 4G. What's happening?!?! And do not make me use the message service to find out!

  • gingerbreadfork Gingerbreadfork (@gingerbreadfork) reported

@NBN_Australia @NBN_Australia you guys run out of script and empty promises over there? You're pretty quiet. Hey @ACurrentAffair9 how about a special on the #NBN being an essential service but not acting like one, I'd plug in an ariel for that. It's time to stop hiding behind "wholesaler".

  • Internode Internode (@Internode) reported

@UnicyclesWill Sorry for the trouble, Will. We've asked our provisioning team to continue escalation steps with NBN so as to get an update for you on this. - T

  • mwltash 💭Mitch Lawton💬 (@mwltash) reported

I have wasted 3 days of employed work on this issue. Are you sure that I called the Vodafone technician while the NBN technician was here. Still no resolution the NBN technician change the port check the line quality and speed 101 megabytes down, 22 megabytes up.

  • YkEnigma YK_enigma (@YkEnigma) reported

@NBN how awful is this? Constant drop outs, wifi connection not suitable for domestic home? Chased this with TIO and service provide ie tpg prior. Unless they provide an appropriate modem for home use, this is highway robbery!

  • GregNor49298186 Greg Norman (@GregNor49298186) reported

@monica_clare1 Its open slaver now. $30m for airport land, $100BILLION for useless subs, $50 BILLION for useless NBN & $4K / hr for Cormann to fly around Europe. The RW can never ever complain about centrelink waste again. Wait until the rorting in Jobkeeper comes out.
