@DropboxSupport And how am I supposed to do that? You(Dropbox) are passing the ball for about the 10th time. Is that the methodology of Dropbox support i.e. wear your customers down until they give up?

@TaraClaeys 1) Install Apple Silicon versions of apps if they’re available. 2) Use Brave (haven’t looked back from Chrome). All of the old Chrome extensions still work. 3) Shut Down with a closed lid periodically, and make sure everything is settled/synced re: Google Drive/Dropbox.

@DropboxSupport My account was disabled, but I'm required to login to be able to contact support. There is no other way to reach you. Your phone number says you will not take respond to support requests over the phone!

Noticing quite a few visual updates to the Dropbox & Dropbox Paper UIs but it's all happening in such a piecemeal manner I never know what's an update and what's a leftover or an error.

@BryanSmart @Simon818 If they had the S attribute set, they would appear as system, and therefore, *not* appear for people like me, with hidden files showing. I don't show system files, only hidden. Dropbox broke their attributes, thus it's dropbox's fault, but they won't take responsibility and fix.

@USinNigeria @USAID It would be really nice if Dropbox is brought back to Nigeria, with more stringent measures, yes? Eg People above 55yrs and have had atleast 3 prior US visas with no overstay or immigration problems whatsoever. 🤔

@ke7zum @CerebralPalsite @Dropbox The 'show hidden files and folders' is something I've had enabled since the 90's. Dropbox only started doing this recently, so it's a dropbox issue. Their tech support... (Loosely defined) claim it isn't, and refuse to deal with my query any longer. Utterly incompetent.

@MsYouDoYou There's this whole new thing - you can store important data, documents, and photos on the internet. It's called Cloud Storage. Try Dropbox, One-Drive, I-cloud, or about 55 other platforms. It shouldn't be the government's problem if you don't know how to back up important data.

@BinanceUShelp They sent me email requesting Bank statement and Video to be stored on Dropbox (not Google drive) I don't have drop box Someone can contact me via video and verify, I NEVER had these problems with US banks I can a US citizen and have rights under US laws

So, @dropbox is trying to pass the buck, as per-usual. I've proved to them several different ways from Sunday that the desktop.ini files within dropbox folders have been modified and created by dropbox, they insist it's an OS issue. No, it is not. Fix your crap, stop being lazy.

@FreakyFwoof @ke7zum @Dropbox I don’t remember what my issue was, probably with syncing, and they take three days to answer me with a copied and pasted article, and when I replied that it didn’t work, they long windedly said I don’t know.

@DropboxSupport And now their 10 Mb/s upload pipe is jammed with a couple TB of backup files, and they don’t know why their internet is not working. Even an “are you sure you want to upload 2 TB to the Internet?” would be helpful here. But the real answer is don’t turn on USB backup by default!

@WinterValkyr porn is literally everywhere on the internet, that's a different problem I think than just twitter. Excuse? dropbox links full of cp?? Why yes, I certainly have missed those and I'm quite glad I have. I still think lack of brain development is the number 1 reason though.

@fusaroli Probably not what you’re looking for, but if you happen to be using version control for source code, storing the repo in a shared Dropbox folder is kinda asking for trouble.
